llperezkings get an A+ they got demarcus cousins who is a legit beig man offenisve presence which is exaclty what they needed with carl landry and jason thompson at the pf spots. Then they got a potnetial steal in hassan whiteside in the second round who is a athletic shot blocking big man who can develop into a top 10 player from this draft.

i like the Vasquez pick i think we should have gone patterson at 12 and pondexter and 25
but not a bad draft overall

DanEboyParticipantKings—Cousins and Whiteside…..Great draft IMO….A
Lakers—Ebanks…great steal for them. Never thought he would drop that far. A

AllDayyyParticipantB-
Should have been B+ but we took fkn Luke Harrangody in the second round. Ecstatic about Avery, but Stanley Robinson would have been perfect in the 2nd. I would have liked Willie Warren too. But noooo Danny decided we needed a Scal replacement, considering he was so important in the finals wearing his suit.

gregoden08ParticipantGotta give them an A. Get Luke Babbitt and Gomes for Martell. Gomes is just as good as Webster AND they get a great shooting 4 in Babbitt to back up LA. Also picked up Armon who is similar to Bayless.

Hoops MaestroParticipantSomeone their knows how to spot talent — Geoff Petrie?
Dallas didn’t do too badly, considering they had only No. 50 going in.
Portland and Oklahoma City and Atlanta look like they have improved themselves as well.

HROT88ParticipantScal played some excellent defense on Lamar Odom for like 20 seconds. I couldn’t keep my eyes off him.

llperezgood thing about the lakers draft of getting ebanks and caracter instead of all the pg’s who were available, is that this might mean Jordan Farmar comes back Yea!

bkb77ParticipantWizards & Sixers A+= They got two best players in draft w Wall & Turner
Kings Cousins(arguabley most potential in draft) + Whitside(projected Lotto)=A
Lakers=A (Ebanks at 44 steal of the draft, “this years Dejaun Blair”)0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 6:18pm #340991
BasketballGuru24ParticipantLakers Got Character and Ebanks With Mid And Late 2nd round picks Thats A nice draft

DanEboyParticipantI wonder if the Lakers were in talks with the Bulls about Kirk……The Bulls better hope they can sign some guys, otherwise, next year is going to be brutal. They have zero shooters right now, except Rose.

WizardofOzParticipantThe Knicks were terrible. They drafted Andy Rautins at 38 which was way too big of a reach. Most people had him going undrafted. And they draft Landry Fields at 39! Most people didn’t have him being drafted either and a lot of people never even heard of him. I have to give the Knicks an F.

piratejpParticipantThe Kings had a nice draft – they’ve become one of the biggest teams in the league overnight. They’ll need to bring in someone to play in the backcourt though with only 3 guards on the roster. Ben Uzoh is a guy I expect them to bring in as an undrafted FA.
My only complaint with them is that it is frustrating year after year to watch guys like Pritchard and Presti move around in the draft and maximize pick value while Petrie has zero imagination in that regard. He’s a great talent evaluator, but complete crap at strategy.
Of course it could be worse & he could be horrible at both like David Kahn.
BTW, that trade to get Babbit was fantastic for Portland – I seriously don’t understand at all why Pritchard was fired; I think he has done a fantastic job. You can’t hold Oden getting hurt against him, and otherwise he’s done a great job both maximizing pick value and drafting quality players. I don’t know who Paul Allen thinks he is going to get to do a better job.

esperanzafleet69Participanti think babbitt is too much like fernandez, but hes better than rudy… which leads me to believe theyll trade fernandez…

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantI’ll give the Blazers between a B- and a C+. btw did anyone find it annoying that the Tom Cruise movie commercial keeps popping up?
0- Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 6:43pm #341031

WizardofOzParticipantIt’s really screwed up that Paul Allen fired Kevin Pritchard before the draft but told him to run the draft for them, and after that, he would be on his way out. If I was him, I would have just walked out.

borlackParticipantI think my raptors did a fair job in getting ed davis as well as solomon alabi, two bigs that will most definitely help on the defensive end of the floor which was our worst attribute and we can potentially get some good pieces for bosh so it looks like the raps may have started off the off season with two good draftees. I give em a B+

The SquirrelyqParticipantAre they going to run Paul George at 2? Isn’t he basically a Danny Granger clone? Not to say that he will produce like Granger, but they have the same play style

carter3ParticipantThere were several teams that had good drafts:
Winners:
Sacramento – A – Good player in Cousins and a project with lots of potential in Whiteside with no risk.
New Orleans – A- -Clear some cap with trade and get two solid players in Brackins and Pondexter.
LA Clippers – B+ – Aminu is solid but Warren is a steal at 54.
Minnesota – B+ – Wesley fits the team well and Webster help at the 2. Wesley/Webster works better than Wesley/Babbitt/Gomes.
Toronto – B – Davis slipped to them and Alabi was a good pick up.
Boston – B – I love the Avery Bradley pick. Harangody could be solid off the bench.
Detroit – B – Monroe is a good fit and Terrico White is a good value at 36.
San Antonio – B – Anderson can help immediately and Richards has a lot of potential.
Orlando – B – For where they were in the draft Orton and Stanley Robinson were great picks.
Miami – B – Their was nothing sexy about what they did but Pittman, Varnado, and Butler are good values.
LA Lakers – B – Ebanks was a steal and Caracter is a solid pick.Losers:
New York – F – What were they thinking? They got two guys that could have gone undrafted!
Milwaukee – D+ – Hobson, Jordan, and Gallon are solid but they really missed it with Sanders.0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 11:01pm #341190

sayounhParticipantmy team, the Pacers, deserve a D
I think Nick Prevenas described the stupidity of it all best: “The Pacers have a huge hole at point guard, so obviously, they take a wing player that duplicates what their franchise player (Danny Granger) already does.”
Trading the pick was the way to go, but I think taking Cole Aldrich with that pick would’ve been solid since there weren’t any PGs worth taking at that point.
