Dont you know that he came into came weighing like 230?? He is 5’11 and was a fatter than most of the players drafted in the top 10…

Eh, so was Mateem Cleaves, Khlaid El-Amin, Brandin Knight, Carl Krauser, Sconnie Penn, Art Lee, Andre Woolride……….it goes on forever.
I wanted to see Manny Harris get drafted.

how is it a shame?? thats wat he deserves, if any of us had a shot at the nba we wud not be comin in overweight…. its his own fault, the biggest knock on him was height, weight.. the weight he could control but didnt, how can anyone feel bad for his lazy ass

  Yeah he was so fat with his six pack at the draft combine. I mean he looked like a real chubbster next to Demarcus Cousins who came in weighing nearly 300 pounds at the combine.
  You guys are idiots.
  Plain and simple, he got hurt during one of his workouts and so he had some downtime where his weight fluctuated.
  That’s besides the point because his weight and height weren’t really the issue. If you look at the draft, Sherron fell into the category that a lot of other guards did. i.e. He isn’t a proven distributor and lacks the explosive athleticism.
  Bottom Line teams were taking guards based on potential, and sorry to say sherron didn’t have the athletic upside that some of the other guards had.
  He’ll find a home somewhere, NBA or overseas….

  Scoonie Penn and Khaled El Amin mention in one post. Got to be on of the best posts of all time. Loved both of those guys.
  As for Collins 5 10 and fat doesnt get you anywhere in the NBA. He needs to tear up the summer league

I did not like his game transfering over to the NBA. He will have his shot on a summer league team. Not an NBA player IMO. At least he will get 1 more crack at it though.

Sherron seems like a solid guy and all, but I was watching a short Grizzlies workout vid yesterday and in that vid alone, Collins missed a short one-on-one jumper contested by Crawford, had Jeremy Lin lay one up over/through him, and got stuffed on a fastbreak layup. I realize workouts aren’t gospel, but I have a feeling his stock really dropped because of them.

he deserved what he got he wasnt prepared to get drafted he is a good college basketball player but he is only 5’10 and he is over weight I like him especially because he is from chicago but come on now if you want to play in the league u gotta show that u wanna be there and he didnt show that. He still has a chance to show what he can do in the summer league though but he has to lose that weight. And that was funny mentioning all of those short pg’s they all are very similar to collins and the only one that really had a shot was Khaled El Amin.
