Bryant24ParticipantI never was high on him but i thought somebody will take a chance on him in the lottery so where does he get drafter late 1st or early second.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 3:56pm #340504

MagikKnickParticipantI think he goes late first, even though it looks like his time is running out to be a 1st rounder. Too long & Too much potential, someone will take the chance

PlatypusParticipantmiami, washington, portland, or detroit? i see Detroit taking him, Orton or Alabi whoevers available

IndianaBasketballParticipantI watched Whiteside work out with the Pacers and I knew right away he was going to slide. He’s skinny, has an “I think I’m the shit” attitude and gives up once he gets pushed around.

BasketBalAllanParticipantI would shit myself if kings got him.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 4:01pm #340515

PlatypusParticipantmaybe Atl now that they just got the 31st pick
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 4:03pm #340524

BasketBalAllanParticipantAtl makes a lot of sense though, they could bring him in behind Horford and try to turn him into a great player in a few years.

Leftovers16ParticipantBut u got me to it I was kinds like wow he really is sliding and looks like he might end up going to some team with space
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 4:06pm #340531
KnickerbockParticipantIs anyone else surprised Orton slipped as well? Averaging 3 points, 3 rebounds, i don’t understand why he was so highly touted in the first place.

M-DYMESParticipantIf I’m Orlando, maybe take a chance on him and pair him up with Dwight who could teach him a thing or too about bulking up. Could have a twin towers D.

MagikKnickParticipantI think EVERYONE saw Ortons slide coming..
As far Whiteside, knew he was gonna slip a bit, but didn’t think this far
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 4:08pm #340537

JoeWolf1I think the Hawks would still talk Alabi over Whiteside at #31
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 4:09pm #340539

PlatypusParticipanthe also has time with Za Za on the bench

kanebangerParticipantcuz im free, free fallin
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 4:11pm #340547
Leftovers16ParticipantWord I’m kinda down on Lewis after his horrible playoff run he plays like shit in the playoff… Ortons seems like a good PF for them
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 4:19pm #340575

Bryant24Participantdang i expect him to slide but not out of the first round he’s sliding more than someone trying to get to home plate

PlatypusParticipantso many centers possible trade?
Cousins – Sammie D – Brockman – Whiteside
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 4:39pm #340648

marcusfizer21ParticipantSacramento is getting 2 big men… WOW… Now that’s what I call a "build-up"… You hear that Cavs??? You should’ve known how to surround talent around your King…
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 4:40pm #340658

BasketBalAllanParticipantI hope to see whiteside play a bit on the team and mabey get a ton of minutes in reno in the Dleague if he ends up not having enough playing time on the Kings, and then next year bring him in to replace losing Sammy.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 4:40pm #340659
JoppersI am really stoked for the Kings selecting Hassan Whiteside. He is a first round talent and fulfills one of their major needs in shot-blocking. Even though we got Dalembert and he is extremely similar to Whiteside game wise, Whiteside was the right pick and is going to be part of the future.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 4:41pm #340665
Leftovers16ParticipantWe fixed our need completely in one draft I can’t believe we just did that ty other teams
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 4:42pm #340650

Bryant24ParticipantIntresting pick considering the kings have carl Landry,Jason Thompson, Demarcus Cousins, and now Hassan Whiteside Brockman, and dalembert
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 4:49pm #340702
Durantula-35ParticipantDang the Kings are loaded at the Center, something tells me Hassan won’t be too happy with his playing time
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 8:13pm #341120

MkadozaParticipantOr the Kings could have a devestating combo of Cousins and Whiteside, even if Whiteside becomes just a shot block with some range, his game compliments Cousins perfectly. The Kings look a lot better after this draft, as do the Nets, Portland and OKC (as usual for the latter two.)
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 8:42pm #341131
zxcvbParticipantHe was drafted where I thought he should have been picked — but not where I expected (or, judging by Whiteside’s expression, where he himself expected). From late-lottery lock to early second round…yeesh.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/24/2010 - 10:09pm #341177
piratejpParticipantMaybe the slide will humble him a little – that and spending a good chunk of time in the D-league. This does give the Kings a lot of flexibility in dealing with Dalembert next season with two young, and much cheaper, players waiting in the wings.
