MagikKnickParticipantSmart Move.

Tyreke JohnsonParticipantVery smart move, very good team for him to go to, he can go in start from day one. They also run a halfcourt offense that can really allow Cousins to excel in the post, I expect him to produce well in the King’s system. Doesn’t hurt either you have Tyreke as your main ball handler (whether or not hes a SG or PG he primarily handles the ball)

knicksfan7ParticipantVery Smart move. Absolutely the right move. It allows him to be a 2nd option who scores like a first w/o having to be a leader or anything.

BlazermannParticipantwhen he gets into playing shape and has 2,3 yrs under his belt and tyrek evans becomes a better paser with a good
mid-range game (note evans is a already a good passer) the pick and pop and roll will be there greatest tool to work with0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/23/2010 - 10:22am #338678

GreenLanternParticipantThis becomes an INSANE team if Cousins lives up to his hype and if Tyreke is moved to the point full time as Eric Snow on NBA TV suggested this week. In order for that to work though, the Kings need to get a player that can guard the great 2 guards in the league. They have become the second biggest team in the league depending on their second pick.

Crossova21ParticipantIsn’t this the same guy that said the T’Wolves and Pacers had a deal in place involving Jonny Flynn? According to Bird the trade was never discussed. I don’t know if I want to believe this guy or not. Whatever happened to the Kings wanting Monroe with the #5?

burningfloodParticipantUnless, of course the T-wolves take Cousins at 4.

severinParticipantI take this news with skepticism. But if they do draft cousins, it’s good. I think the team will have a good core. Starters: Evans, Casspi, Thompson/Landry, Cousins, New PG(they need a new PG). Mo williams would be the best fit for them at PG but a player of his caliber would require they trade away the 5th pick. I would probably pull the trigger on that deal as williams would be a perfect match for Evans.

Who’s going to admit a deal that failed. David Khan offered Al Jefferson for Danny Granger but when asked denied it?

Durantula-35ParticipantMo Williams for Cousins?? I don’t think so.
Crossova21, Monroe is more of a PF and they already have Thompson and Landry. They only have 1 Center in Dalembert and Cousins brings what he can’t on offense. Evans and Cousins could be the next Kobe and Shaq, to a lesser extent

sacphil_08ParticipantKnicksboy can you leave a link or something like that so i can see what wojnarowski said directly? As a kings fan i want to be ecstatic but i have to see some validity… Thanks

JNixonParticipantThis is a good move by Sacto. He’s a good fit there and he gives the Kings a pick and roll/pop option in their offense. Dalembert is also a good compliment to Cousins, better than Hawes would’ve been. Now they can move Landry to the bench (where he’s best IMO), Jason Thompson can now defend his position, and they are set.
Now they need to pick a combo guard for instant offense off the bench in the 2nd round or take Devin Ebanks or Stanley Robinson if available to defend the wings.

Durantula-35ParticipantEbanks would be great. He guarded John Wall well in the Elite 8 when he had to on a few possessions. I think he would be able to guard the 2 guards of the league

EuroBallParticipantI like cousins for the kings. The reason he fits in perfect there. To me he has the frame to be a great center in this league and I think the Kings are making the right decision. People think cousin is a bad kid because of his attitude problem and I really like seeing guys fired when playing basketball and talking trash when playiing. You can tell he’s competive on the court. If he turns out to be like R Walllace on a attitude leveel his achievement will be cut short due to his attitude. For example, like all star game and all NBA team. I think cousins might be the next eddy curry or Lesser athletic shaq. Eddy Curry is not a bad NBA Player. he had an average nba career.
