Charlie SheenParticipantThe Knicks are putting some talented players around LeBron James and Chris Bosh if they come
If they buy into the 1st round and draft PG Armon Johnson and get Lance Stephenson and Craig Brackins in the 2nd round they add Danilo Gallinari and athletic Bill Walker and solid back up PG in Toney Douglas and probally 2 or 3 more free agents the Knicks would def be projected to go to the ECF
C- ?????/????
F- Bosh/Brackins
F- Gallinari/Fernandez/Walker
G- James/Stephenson
G- Johnson/Douglas2 holes at Center and a 3rd PG then NYK is all set

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantSo basically what you just posted is that if the Knicks get LeBron and Bosh that they’ll have LeBron, Bosh, and thirteen warm bodies. Come on. Do you really want to make the case that Craig Brackins can play some kind of meaningful role on a winning team in the NBA when he stunk against teams with talent. How good can Armon Johnson (or Luke Babbitt for that matter) be when Nevada could not make the tournament from the WAC? When was the last time a team that got bumped early in the NIT had two first round picks? Also, Lance Stephenson should not and will not land with the Knicks. Between the problems associated with playing in his hometown and the fact that he is not the kind of shooter who can make any kind of contribution in D’Antoni’s system, he should not even be on the Knicks’ board.

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantI think the Globe trotters would win more games in the NBA if they signed LeBron and Bosh than the line-up you suggested.

NYK2010ParticipantForget Rudy Fernandez he’s a Sg and they have Walker and Douglas already.
I’d rather have Chandler he’s an athletic wing player who can play multiple positions.
Draft a PG and bigs and the Knicks should be fine.
Wish they would resign David Lee and sign Lebron that would be nice which leaves them some cap room still.0 - Posted on: Wed, 06/23/2010 - 10:13am #338665

GreenLanternParticipantThey would need a LOT more defense than that lineup in order to be legit. But I did hear that Shaq could easily follow LeBron to New York for the mid-level exception. A washed-up Shaq is still better than 80% of the league’s bigs at this point.

Tyreke JohnsonParticipantEven if the Knicks get those players it does not make a solid team, I do not understand why at this point in time any player such as Bosh or Lebron would go to New York if they want to win, the supporting cast is nothing special, their coach is nothing more then a offensive minded/driven coach who focuses on zero defense. D’antoni had more talented all around teams in Phoenix and where did he take them? Nowhere, his way of playing may work in the regular season but its a whole different game in the postseason, his coaching ways do not excel at all in the postseason and it has shown. New York is not the mecca of Basketball, their franchise has not been successful and they relied so heavily on this year because of Free Agency, they are going to be disappointed when they do not sign Wade, Bosh or Lebron.
Knicks cannot lure players to New York because other then advertisements and publicity, they have nothing to offer the Top Tier Free Agents (Bosh, Lebron, Wade) that is worth while, and that is winning, and a championship. I am sorry to totally disregard your post HD The Kid but I cannot see Lebron going to New York or Bosh and Wade for that matter.
