I was reading everybody’s top 10 lists of all time and I’ve got to say that I’m pretty surprised how few people seem to appreciate how great Wade has been just seven years into his career.

Most people seem to have George Gervin, Allen Iverson and even Reggie Miller ranked over him.

His CAREER averages of 25.4 PPG, 6.6 APG, 4.9 RPG, 1.8 SPG and 1 BPG are far better than Reggie Millers numbers in his single BEST year ever 24.6 PPG, 3.8 APG, 3.6 RPG, 1.3 SPG and 0.2 BPG.

Miller was a great shooter, arguably the greatest in history. But what can Miller do better than Wade besides shoot? Wade is the far better defender, far better passer, the better rebounder and is far better at attacking the hoop.

Wade already has more all-star games than Miller (6 to 5) and while Miller was never good enough in his own era to crack the All-NBA first or second team even once Wade has made the first team twice and the second team twice as well.

Yes Miller was incredibly clutch. But Wade has been clutch as well including winning a Finals MVP and an NBA championship something which Miller, Iverson and Gervin never accomplished.

Frankly I think it is no contest that Wade is already better than Miller. And it should only be a matter of a few years before he leapfrogs AI and Gervin as well. Sure they were dominant scorers but Wade’s all around game is superior to both of them.

I just think it’s unfortunate that too often we overlook the greatness of the players from the present day until the tail ends of their career because we’ve placed the great players from the past on a pedestal.

It’s tuff to understand how good D. Wade really is when all you hear on ESPN is the “LeBron James Free Agency.” lmao which one has a ring and was FINALS (not reg season) MVP? The dude is a stud and has a chance to hear me say he is better than AI and that is somethin I simply don’t do haha

Dwyane Wade is and always will be my favourite player. He’s never gotten respect despite his incredible numbers, leadership of a poor team, and championship. He has not won an MVP only because of his team’s record every season. He cannot do it by himself though. There is not a single player that you can name who can make it to the Finals, let alone win a championship, on a team like the Heat. Kobe sure can’t do it and neither can LeBron. I blame it on the Heat management. They can never draft good talent (other than Beasley but he hasnt gotten his act together) or surround Wade with the talent he deserves. Even when the Heat won the Finals, the team was still pretty weak other than Shaq. And Shaq wasn’t even as good as he was when he was in Los Angeles. As if Miami alone isn’t enough to attract good players, but Dwyane too. James would be in the same predicament as Wade if he were to have played in Miami now. I just hope this off-season doesn’t get screwed up this year by the terrible Miami management. Wade deserves better.

or a lebron fan. but i can say that wade is prob the most underappreciated superstar in the league. I also agree that management around him are doing a terrible job surrounding him by players. or at least maximizing their talent. it was painfully obvious to see wade was the only member of the team that cared about winning, especially in the playoffs against the celtics. i think wade has about as much right to be mad about his situation than lebron does. lebron actually had help thsi season and didnt make it work. i think wade could have taken that team and made thwem much better.
