I dont know, Tyler Smith is an odd guy, he has alot of tools, alot of skill, and was once said to be a late first rounder. Then I believe he got arrested & suspended, for a drug charge? And since then hes just fallen all the way off

I believe he will go overseas for a season to get his numbers and name back up. He was a potential 2nd round pick before the incident. He could go to a team overseas and drop 15-20 a game and gain interest from some NBA teams.

In europe the new guys are lucky to play 15-20 minutes per game. There is no way Tyler Smith drops 15-20 per game.
    It’s not the D-league.

I gotta think he will get his shot in the L. He’s way too skilled and athletic not too. I honestly always thought he was a little underrated a couple years ago. Everything just depends on if he’s willing to do what it takes.

If he performs well overseas, he will get more PT.

Or he could go to a average league on a bad team and lead the team.

Then what…. you don’t think the NBA wouldn’t know the difference? If Juan Carlos Navarro averages 25 min per game, how many years would it take Tyler Smith?

Tyler Smith has lots of talent and skill. Definately would have been a player if it had not been for getting arrested. I believe he will get a shot somewhere. He kind of reminds me of Josh Smith (Washington Wizards)

    You mean Howard?

But yeah, Smith definitely threw away a great opportunity, hopefully he’ll get himself a second chance

He could get on with a summer league team and kill it, and get in the league that way.

HAHA KNICKSBOY WAS RIGHT, TYLER SMITH IS PLAYING IN TURKEY FOR BORNOVA BLD AND IS AVERAGING 21 POINTS, 4 ASSISTS, AND REBOUNDS AFTER STARTING THE FIRST FOUR GAMES…I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HE WILL GET BETTER.

He’s playing in Turkey. That’s got to be about as competitive as the Jamaican bobsled team….and they didn’t bother to state if he was winning games or not. Put him on Barca and he doesn’t leave the bench. 20 pts a game in a Turkish league doesn’t get you a chance in the NBA.

Tyler Smith has never been that great a prospect. He’s not a very good shooter, he’s not that great a slasher, and like a 6’7 combo forward. He can do a little bit of everything, but he’s not NBA level at anything really. I doubt he’ll play in the NBA, and if he does he’ll be stapled to the bench.
