Melo loves Denver he said it but they are getting old and they’re getting old fast.
Martin, Billups and Andersen 3 core players are coming to the end of the road
They seem to wanna part ways with Smith and Lawson and I doubt Nene returns

So if I were Carmelo I would see if they can get some young talen around them and see if they have a legit shot at winning a title.

If Not then I’d request a trade because the new CBA is not favoring potential MAX guys in 2011.

Teams that could use him are Chicago they need that #1 option. If Chicago signs Joe Johnson straight up drafts Whiteside and sign Al Harrington and Kyle Korver. then do make a deal for Anthony by packing Deng, Johnson Pargo and a future 1st for Anthony and Smith.

    C- Noah/Whiteside
    F- Gibson/Harrington
    F- Anthony/Korver
    G- Johnson/Smith
    G- Rose/Hinrich

Anthony wouldn’t be expected to be Michael Jordan like LeBron will and he can knock down 3’s perfect for D.Rose and his penetration we know about JR this deal works for both teams as Denver gets 2 young SF’s and a combo guard plus a future 1st maybe add in another 1st and a 2012 2nd

Chicago’s frontline of Gibson, Noah and Whiteside could develop well together under Thibedou and be dominate for years to come

    Any thoughts

I saw a very interesting article about this very thing on hoopshype rumors. I think Anthony loves denver too, but he also likes the intrigue of playing in NY, plus I know he wants to win, but im not sure thats the only factor for him, if you know what i mean

Wow what a ridiculous post. Denver moves Carmelo and JR for Deng, James Johnson, Pargo and end of the round 1st. Really I mean really? So they trade the face of their franchise and one of the NBA’s biggest super stars, as well as JR Smith for:
Deng who has proved that he isn’t a star, sure he’s a solid player but he’s not going to all of the sudden turn into a perennial all star.
James Johnson who hasn’t really shown much of anything besides that he’s a tweener with nice athleticisim.
Pargo who was playing in Europe just a while ago, solid bench player at best.
A 1st rounder that is the 24th pick at best and probably lower.

And that’s not even talking about salary cap ramifications. They give Joe Johnson a fat contract and somehow take on Melo’s maxxed out deal without even moving a guy like Hinrich.

    Nice Dangerdoom reference.

That’s a interesting Idea but no. For Chicago to get Melo? Were talking Gibson, Hinrich and Deng IMO. Carmelo is a Franchise player.
