OhCanada-ParticipantWhile the Nets were obviously targeting John Wall and Evan Turner in this years draft their third option Derrick Favors and the know most probable selection maybe the best for the Nets long-term.The Nets biggest hole is in the PF position. They have three good young wings Lee and Williams and Douglas-Roberts (more on Williams later).Williams and Douglas Roberts can play a little SF and Lee is an experienced sophmore with comparisons to Rip Hamilton (not just because of the mask).DRAFTING A PF SHOULD GIVE THESE WINGS AN OPPURTUNITY TO PROVE THEIR TALENT ESPECIALLY WITH A WELL ROUNDED TEAM.Lopez is anchoring the teams frontcourt and Harris a quick versatil gaurd in the back. But no PF at all.
As a main priority drafting a PF is a giood idea especially a defensive sound one such as Favors. Also with 2 draft picks if they could sure up their front-court by drafting Lawal and add a playmaker at 3 with Bjelica New Jersey could have great potential going forward.
Also next year will have a variety of super-talented Wing Players at the Top of this list being.
Harrison Barnes
Perry Jones
Jan Vesely
CJ Leslie
Terrence Jones
John Henson
Alec BurksIf they can land Barnes, or Perry Jones this team should be solid for a long time.
Terrence Williams is an extremely hard worker and arguably the hardestworking player in last years draft. He works out with Gary Payton during the offseason, and wil continue to improve. His game has no real holes when his shot is consistant. He is going to surprise some people.
If Prokhorov can refrain from spending all his money on Boozer, Johnson, Lee etc. and decides to use the draft as a re-building source NJ should have a dynasty by the time they are the Brooklyn Nets.

MagikKnickParticipantWether they sign a major FA or not, the Nets should be much improved next season, so theres no way they’ll be in contention to draft a player like Barnes.
The Nets have a bright future, a young top 5 center, a developing T-Will who I think will be great, great young core, with 3 draft picks coming in, and a lot of cap space, the Nets can do serious damage in the league this summer…

JNixonParticipantTerrence Williams, aka Iguodala 2.0, is my 2nd favorite player in the NBA.
Brook Lopez looks like a future elite big man, and already is probably one of the best in the NBA (kind of a sign of the lack of bigs more than it is Lopez having prodigious talent).
Let Courtney Lee go. He’s not going to be all that good, I think Williams will be better than him and CDR has the potential to be a very nice bench scorer. I love the old-man flair to his offensive game. CDR also is a swingman so they can afford to get an offensive minded wing like Jordan Crawford or Terrico White to play SG and score off the bench.
Yi is a backup. They’ll take Favors, but I honestly think Monroe will be a better fit than him. I think Favors will be a Chris Wilcox type of player, while Monroe seems like Pau Gasol and LaMarcus Aldridge mix into one. I think he can be the 3rd best player in this draft. Good looking by 8thdeadlysin on bringing up that scenario.
Devin Harris was overrated to me from the jump, but he’s still one of the better PG’s in the NBA because of his scoring ability and decent playmaking skills. They could use a backup PG, but that can be picked up in FA. They need to look for a true PG who defends to compliment the offensive minded Harris.

OhCanada-ParticipantThe only problem is chemistry issues in-experience and injuries. Favors could easily be a bust. Harris is reletively injury prone. There is also no depth, or veteran leadership.Thats why I say with this lineup they should get a lotto pick. Also Boston should remain good, Philly should improve, Toronto should be below average and the Knicks should be good.

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantOne thing alot of ppl don’t know
The Nets own the Warriors 1st round pick in the 2011 draft. So Add 2 more 1st round picks? New Jersey could go from the outhouse to the penthouse real fast.

Michael.S.ParticipantAgreed. This should allow Williams, CDR and Lee to progress nicely. I like all three of their games. Good players.
But, I am sure the Nets wouldn’t mind having John Wall.
