    (Not an insider article)

The Kings need to take this guy! He is going to be a beast & have a chip on his shoulder. I agree with John Thompson on this one – I’d rather have a guy who gets carried away occasionally because he cares too much than someone who doesn’t care at all.

Also, Sacramento would be a great place for him as both a city and a franchise – they would probably assign Abdur-Rahim to be this guy’s “big brother”/personal coach and make sure he stays focused and out of trouble. Not a lot of trouble waiting to happen in Sac either – assuming he doesn’t join Tyreke’s street racing team anyway.

They have nothing to offer to move up, so if Detroit manages to leapfrog them, not much to be done for that – just take Monroe and wonder what might have been. Kind of like when Chicago snatched Noah up one pick in front of the Kings a few years back, leaving them to take “the big softie”, Spencer Hawes. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen again this year, because Cousins is who this team needs.

The good news is I have a hard time imagining any deals any of the teams in the top 4 would do with Detroit that make sense. The most likely one would seem to be PHI, if Detroit was willing to take on Brand. If that happened though, would Detroit still take Cousins at #2? If they didn’t, nothing really changes for the Kings. I think he’ll be there for them – I just hope they do the right thing, and don’t become one of the teams he takes it out on for the next 16 years.

Look in his eyes when he says he’s the best player.I agree with him and I’ve said it before IDK why Washington would draft Wall ahead of Cousins…doesn’t make sense IMO.Corey Joseph, Kyrie Irving, Josh Selby, Brandon Knight are PG’s that could easily go Top 10 in next years draft. Name me one C that could go Top 10 in next years draft!PG’s dont win Championships C’s and Wings do.

If I were Washington I’d trade Wall for Rubio and Minni’s 4th Overall pick.

I agree they need to take Cousins, they really don’t have any other options IMO. Others rumored to go to Sacramento are Monroe, but he is to skinny to play along Thompson or Dalembert, and Al-Farouq Aminu but he doesn’t shoot good enough which the Kings need.

    i disagree….

i think monroe is REALLY good and could become even better than cousins if used in the right way… and i think sacramento is definately one of those teams that can, and knows how to, use a big man that has his passing skills…

Monroe is the consolation prize, and a good one – so either way the Kings should get better. I’m just saying there’s no way they should pass on Cousins if he’s there.

I agree Monroe is the consolation prize, you can’t pass on Cousins if he’s there. Monroe and Thompson are to weak to play defense together, Cousins would compliment him perfect however.
