Patterson has bust written all over him

Patterson’s jump shot got much better over the past year, if he continues to improve on that he could be very good. If he could shot a bit better why wouldn’t be as successfull as Antawn Jamison.

Apparently P-Pat has been killing in workouts for the Griz and he is said have now have NBA 3 point range in his game. He is also a banger down low so i really like the guy and hope the Griz take him

Explain why you think Patterson is a bust in the making?

I think the opposite, I think he is one of the most NBA ready power forwards in the draft. He has good size as well as athleticism, 3 years of experience in a major college program and he is polished down on the block, has a pretty good jumper and is a 70% foul shooter and doesn’t take a lot of dumb shots. I think he could drop 10 and 6 as a rookie.

He won’t be a bust if you know what to expect. If you expect him to be a perrenial All-Star, yeah you’ll be disappointed. If you think he’ll put up good rebounding and decent scoring numbers while developing into a 3rd or 4th option, he’ll be just fine at the end of the lotto. I think he’ll be a good pick at the end of the lotto. Hopefully he goes to Houston, where he can be groomed for the role Carl Landry had.

Patterson is going to be a very good player, he will be a stronger David West. 6-9 240 he is a great leader and a solid post defender. he will be a starter sometime.

okay i think Patterson will be decent in the NBA and serviceable but David West? Cmon…….hope he proves me wrong but i just dont see it happening.

(Patterson is clearly undersized at PF at the next level … He won’t be as effective in the NBA as he is now unless he becomes more versatile player offensively … )

Patterson is 6’9.25” in shoes and weighs 240 pounds, with a wingspan of over 7′

Not only is he tall enough, heavy enough and long enough to play power forward in the NBA, he is very strong and a pretty good leaper. When you watch him play you see he has great energy and finishes strong. He has improved on his offense game over the past few years, that is usually a sign he will continue to work on it.

I think he will be a guy who gets minutes but not an all star. I just think when you are a junior and you take a back seat to john wall cousins and bledsoe that doesnt seem like you are a star more of a team player which is a good thing. but not anything special

I’m with the mullet man (Joe Wolf) on this one. P^2 is far from being a bust and is one of the most well prepared, NBA ready from day 1 type players in this draft. He is smart, well spoken for, and most importantly a great athlete. The draft range he is projected to be picked at is just right and no way would it be considered a reach if he goes top 10.

Plus I had a class with this guy at UK, I sat in the very back, he sat in the very front (I’m sure no one cares about that, but I thought it was funny (by the way I still pulled a high B out of that class, so it doesn’t matter how close you sit to the front (I’m sure no one cared about that either, I just wanted to add more parentheses))). Completing any degree in just three years is pretty good.

patterson can hit the 3 also, he could play small forward at times i believe

Patrick Patterson has too much desire, and too much work ethic to not be a succesful NBA player. I see him being an Antonio Davis type player in the NBA. A career 12-14PPG and 8-9 Reb is his likely numbers.

Patterson should got top 10. It will be interesting what teams do and how they feel when they pass up ready to play guys like Patterson for potential.

if x.Henry is available, I would take him over pat. If not, p.patterson is immediate help to the grizzlies and i would love it.
