wesleymatthews23ParticipantWhere did you find out that the Jazz were impressed by Ed Davis? I would really like to read that article or watch that video clip whatever kind of evidence it is pass it on. Your mock could actually happen. I like it a lot. But I would switch the 5th and 6th picks. Read what I said to an earlier thread entitled “Monroe over Cousins” and you will see what I mean Monroe is the better choice for the Kings. It may seem puzzling but the ’08 heat pick explains so much. Just read what I said in that article.

OhCanada-ParticipantThese days players have alot of say in the direction teams head and decisions they make. To be a successful franchis in the NBA you have to win games. Sometimes to win games you must rebuild a team, and you will need a franchise player to begin building around. While building around that player you want to make sure he is happy wit5h his situation and looks forward to staying with his franchise.
Tyreke Evans is Sacramento’s franchise player as we saw with the Kevin Martin trade. He has publicly stated in an ESPN Magazine article that if given the chance he would draft Demarcus Cousins with the 5th overall pick.If Evans can make a statement like that publicly than I’m shore the Kings orginization knows about Rekes personal wishes.
Do not quote me on this information I read it on NBADRAFT.NET from SpencerHawesIsAwesome and have not found any evidence backing it.
Also attitude should not make Cuz’s stock slip. Boston Celtics had the most technical fouls all year. Perkins and Wallacewere 1 and 2 in being T’d up. Ron Artest is the most wild man as far as behaviour and unpredictability goes in the NBA (not including Arenas who is just stupid) and he was the MVP of game 7 of the NBA Championship Finals, he won LA that game with his no respect attitude.
If anything I’d want to plug a player with an atitude like that into my system AND CHANNEL IT into an intesity and meanness to destroy his opponents.

White ChocolateParticipantWesleymatthews23 this is what I found this is Kevin O’Connor after the Ed Davis workout:
“We wanted to see how he shot the ball; he shot it very well today,” Jazz general manager Kevin O’Connor said after Friday’s audition.”

PurpleMonkeyDishwasherParticipantSo you think the scouts are just concerned with Cousins getting a few technicals? It’s quite a bit more than that…. how about becoming the next Z. Randolph or Curry. Take a jerk with a tendency to put on weight and give him 30 million dollar contract…. it’s not going to make him nicer, more fit person. You are right about players having more say in how teams are run…. it’s just another reason to be careful of who you choose to be on your team.

wesleymatthews23Participantthanks for the article on Davis, cousinsfan. I think the Jazz have found their pick. He would be great to groom behind Millsap, and would possibly start in about a year or two. He would punish a bunch of teams with both defense and offense. I am off the Udoh bandwagon and onto Davis’ officially. He is our guy this is our pick. It makes perfect sense.
