PACERS NEED TO TRADE #10!!!!!!!

They absolutely NEED a point guard. Watson and Ford are FA’s and Price is injured. I think they need to trade the 10th pick and Solomon Jones to the Nuggets for Ty Lawson. The Pacers get a much needed Point guard and the Nuggets get a big man they asked for and the 10th pick. The Pacers won’t get anything they need at the 10 spot anyways. Avery Bradley and Eric Bledsoe are going to be the only Point Guards available at that point.

They could trade 10 pick to the Raps for Jarett Jack…What?

How about Ramon Sessions? In the best case, they may even land the #23 from the TWolves.

Ramon Sessions didn’t get much opportunities to play last season, but he was solid starting for the bucks and had some big game as a rookie.

I think the TWolves is wasting his talent. He’s probably better than Flynn for the time being, but the TWolves is so into developing Flynn last year.

Sessions’ contract is a bargain for what he can bring.

Why for Pacers:
Ramon Sessions is a very solid PG at a bargain contract.
Al Jefferson is a very good big man (when healthy) that is going to his prime. Would fit well with Granger going into his prime too.

Why for TWolves:

Ramon Sessions is not in the future plan anyway and he was rarely used last year, might as well get rid of his 3 years deal. Al Jefferson plays similar to Kevin Love and has a big contract. Since the TWolves is rebuilding, may as well keep Love and send Al Jefferson away.

Troy Murphy and Jeff Foster are expiring contracts and very solid veteran to be around with the young guys. They would also fit well. Troy Murphy is a jump shooting big man with range to 3 pt line and good rebounder. Jeff Foster is a solid defender, rebound, a big man that is willing to do all the dirty works for wins, he would be a great example for the young guy. With the #11, the TWolves can add another quality player at the draft.

As an Indy fan… I love that deal, but I see no incentive for the T’Wolves to do it. They most certainly want to move Jefferson and his large contract but for a couple of bench players and a draft pick that pretty much leaves them with a pick that they have no real use for either. Now if that pick was to somehow morphed into a deal for Evan Turner, then I’d say that would be a win for Minny.

Basically, The T’Wolves are giving away the two best players for a weak draft pick. Unless that pick from Indy is packaged into Evan Turner, can’t see it being fair for Minny.

Al Jefferson is getting 15mil + 16 mil + 17mil in the next 3 years.

He plays very similar to Kevin Love and that’s why Kevin Love came off the bench last year because they can’t play Love and Big Al together.

If the TWolves get Murphy and Foster expiring contract, they would have tones of cap space to continue rebuilding. The TWolves wants to get big men that have different strength. Troy Murphy is a jump shooting big with range to 3 pt line and he would open up space for Love. He is also capable of 20-10 games and not that far off from Jefferson (except he’s older and not a post player). Jeff Foster is a defensive big man that can help play defense and give them size (6-11).

This year draft is a DEEP draft. A #11 can be valuable if properly used. They can draft Paul George, Xavier Henry, or Hassan Whiteside (if they can wait) who may develop into star.

If I am the TWolves GM, I would certain do the deal or maybe ask a little bit more in return.

I’m a Pacers fan, so I’d love it if that happened. The major problem is that the T’Wolves will have a tough time bringing in free agents, so a bunch of cap space might not be ideal, unless there is more that comes with it. Jefferson is a strong player, and I am not sure that the #11 and cap space is enough to get him, especialy since Sessions is in the mix as well. On the other hand word in the heartland is that Larry Bird has a plan to get rid of the overpriced players on his roster, let the contracts run out (end of next year) and build the team from there. Jefferson’s contract would be heavy and would negate these attempts.

The Jack for ten pick would be a lot more likely. He was a previous starter for them, and they loved him. They just could not pay what Toronto offered. If Toronto is serious about moving Jack this is a real possibility. He would bring good D and adequate playmaking to the Pacers’ starting unit.

As a Wolves fan I can tell you that there is no way we would make this trade. We are not giving up Al Jefferson and Sessions for a marginal pick and some cap space. We can get way more value for those players than that. And frankly cap space isn’t going to mean that much to us there is no way we could get a Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Joe Johnson, or the like to play here.
