If the Timberwolves draft DeMarcus Cousins(which i doubt they’ll do) i think they should trade Jefferson and Wilkins or Milicic for Turner, Young, and a pick or L. Williams. Because Cousins is more of a true center than Al is. and the 76ers dont really want Turner and they need a post.

The Sixers will not do that trade ever in a million years. Not even if Billy King was assitant GM and Isiah freakin’ Thomas was the head GM. Now Iggy for Big Al would be a different story, or even Iggy and change for D. Cuz or Favors.

Cousins never said he didnt wanna come to Minny it was his agent assuming they werent going to take him because they have Al/Love. I wouldnt be so sure about that though. I just got done listening to kahn on kfan radio and he said he would love to bring in cousins for a workout.

SIXERS WILL TAKE EVAN TURNER. PERIOD. The sixer need a SG turner is not only a SG but one of the top 2 players in a 2 player draft. An Iggy trade might be possible but there is no way the sixers pass on turner. It’s a lock turner will be a sixer.

…unless one of their bad contracts is included in the deal — Philly won’t pay Big Al, Elton Brand AND Samuel Dalembert. Best case for Minny might be Jefferson for the No. 2 pick (Turner) and Dalembert. He’s the kind of defensive center the T-Wolves need next to Love, and Minnesota can still pick Cousins at No. 4.

Philly will pay for the 3 players u mentioned if it’s Iggy for Big Al. Plus Sammy the cancer Dalembert comes off the books this summer

I’d forgotten he’s off the books after next season. But do the T-Wolves like Turner that much more than, say, Wesley Johnson, that they’d take on Brand’s giant deal ($18M by 2012-13) to get him?

I think the 76ers will just wait out Dalembert’s contract but they would love to get out of Brand’s. I like Iggy for Jefferson but I don’t think Iggy would fit into Minni’s triagnle offence.

what else is minnesota going to do with all its cap space they have no real free agents who want to come here. They might as well take on elton brands contract. If minnesota could keep the 4th pick and pick up the 2nd without trading the 4th why not do it? cap space means nothing if you cant sign anyone nah mean

Idk y u guys think Minny is touching EB. He litterally has the most untouchable contract in the league. Only high paid player they would take from Philly is Iggy.

I mean I am a Sixers fan so I would loveee for someone to take on EB without giving up Turner but it is a complete pipe dream.

ur prolly rite but if you have cap space and can never sign aanyone why not make a trade for a good rookie and his rookie contract and walk away with 2 of the top 4 picks>?

Cuz I don’t believe the Sixers are going to give up the #2 pick just to dump salary. Having cap space is overrated especially when your GM sucks at big FA signings. #2 picks don’t come around too often either

Minnesota did invite Cousins to work out. His agent doesn’t think Minnesota is really interested and has refused the work out. Kahn advised he would continue calling the agent to try and correct this, but also said that they’re already watched Cousins a lot and have a pretty good idea of his abilities regardless of whether he comes in. He stated if MN keeps the 4 pick they will take the BPA. He also said he thinks Favors maybe the best player drafted this year when we look back in 4-5 years. He stated the 1 pick was not for sale. He stated the 2 pick was basically not for sale, but that the 3 pick was a possibility. He also said MN would be in the lotto again next year and that MN is not trying to get mediocre, but really good and that they would forego short term help in favor of long term benefits. He also told MN fans to stop being so Evan Turner centric and that he’d rather have his teeth pulled out than pick up Brand’s contract. He also suggested the Aminu and perhaps one other unnamed player have as much long term potential as a wing as Turner or Johnson.

    My take:

Philly drafts Turner and that’s the end of #2 speculation.

The NJ work out of Cousins and Favors is really important. If Cousins shows PF quickness and dominates Favors I would expect MN and NJ to likely swap spots with a possible inclusion of the 23 or a couple second rounders for NJ. If NJ is unimpressed with Cousins Favors goes 3.

MN only takes Johnson if they trade down with the 4. If at 4 they take CousinsFavors depending on NJ.

MN continues to try and move Love and or Jefferson, but may still have both on opening day roster if they can not get fair value.

MN does not overpay Gay or any other FA and struggles next year, but remains unburdened by bad contracts (except Al Jefferson’s depending on your take on Big Al)

capspace isn’t just for signing other teams freeagents… it’s for signing your own freeagents also. If the 76ers take E. Brands 18 mil. and you sign 2 or 3 players that can greatly help the 76ers plus possibly…… a couple more lesser priced role players if they choose. Brand’s better days left with his achilles and the 76ers will pay for his signing for 3 more years if they don’t find a way to trade him now..

Unlike Brand Jefferson’s contract can be traded at any time the Wolves would like to trade him. The Wolves expect that he will be 20 and 10 again this year. His stat drop off was completely expected with his injury and learning a new system and teammates.

The Sixers keep Turner Unless….The Wolves trade us the 4th, 16th and either the 23rd pick or Wayne Ellington…Sammy and Big Al can be included to that deal…We ARe Keeping Iguadola(for Now It Seems)
and we can’t and won’t Trade Brand…We Are Not Giving up assets(#2 pick,Thad,Iggy and Jrue) just to unload Brand…We will keep offering the 2nd pick for 4th and 16th and will settle for for the 23rd or Ellington to boot…The sticking point for the Sixers should be a third player…either W.Ellington(for shooting purposes) or the 23rd pick has a plan B if they can’t get Henry,Babbit or George…That should be the deal that gets made…The Wolves get Turner…The Sixers get Cousins and 2 other young players…It could be Henry or Ellington at shooting guard…or we get Babbit or George to help out on the wings…Cousins as a potential Center after Dalembert expires is a good thing…We shouldn’t throw away the Expiring Deals to get any players that are not impact guys…Jefferson is not an impact guy…Not right Now at least…we have Speights and Brand for that matter…We can trade Dalembert and Young to the Clippers for the 8th pick if we to dump a little cash and try to get another top ten pick…then we’d get Henry for sure and have Cousins,Henry and a shot at prospect or 2 with the 16th and 23rd pick or W.Ellington…We have a lot of holes to fill without the cap space and picks to get it done…The 2nd pick was a blessing…it gave us a lot of room for moves…we have 20 million in expiring deals…the 2nd pick and 3 young players with big upside and small contracts(M16,Thad,Jrue) Iggy is a very attractive trade chip(he almost got us Amare for god’s sake)

We could keep Turner and just Trade…Thad Young and Sammy to the Kings for the 5th pick…or to the Clippers for the 8th…We get Cousins if the Kings do that Deal…We get a guy like Whiteside or George at 8…maybe Udoh or Aldrich…maybe Babbit or Patterson…Maybe Henry any way…And we try to trade Iggy too???…Iggy for the 8th pick if we make the deal with the Kings first…then we’d get Turner and the 5th and 8th picks…Not to mention the Cap room by dumping Iggy for a pick and Sammy and Thad for a pick…we get rid of 25 million like that….and get to top ten picks in place…Thing is we lose Iggy and Thad…but we still have Turner,Holiday,M16,Lou,Meeks, J.Smith and Brand…Not to mention Kapono and Green expiring deals(10 million or so)…the 2 additional picks can get us a Center and Small Forward to develop…the Cap Room can make us a player for someone…This is the dream scenario maybe…but hey…..
