NashyMingParticipantNets-John Wall – no brainer
Wolves-Evan Turner – no brainer
Warriors-Donatas Motiejunas – Nellie prefers offensive player for his R&G no D style (Dirk project 2.0).
Pacers-Cole Aldrich – It’s Larry Bird we are talking about here. He likes experienced NCAA player. Aldrich being white is a bonus.
Wizards-Wesley Johnson – already have Blatche and McGee may lead the Wiz to pick a solid swingman. The Arenas’ situation would make them think twice about Cousins and Whiteside (both with questionable character, but maybe overblown).
Sixers-DeMarcus Cousins – Best player to replace Dalembert in the long run. They already have Elton Brand and Speights at PF.
Pistons-Derrick Favors – they need a big man and Derrick Favors is the BPA.
Kings-Hassan Whiteside – need a big and would prefer Cousins, but Whiteside has too much upside to pass up on. Drafting T.Evans last year showed that they don’t think character would be any serious issue.
Jazz-Al-Farouq Aminu – BPA and also potentially replace AK47 later
Clippers-Xavier Henry – they probably want a good swingman to play SF as they already have Gordon, Henry is the best prospect and can potentially play SF (baring a little undersized).
Bucks-Greg Monroe – the Bucks want to win asap and the GM is under the gun to win NOW, so they would pick Monroe who’s the most ready to play and also fill a whole in the PF.
Hornets-James Anderson – they need a good SG in the worst way. Marcus Thornton is good, but would be at best to play as 6th man.
Grizzlies-Patrick Patterson – Darrell Arthur didn’t really plan out so they may want a PF to eventually replace Zach (assuming they can keep Rudy Gay).
Rockets-Jan Vesely – the Rockets would want a big man and they also have a history of getting Euro player (potentially letting him develop overseas), Ed Davis would be another possibility.0 - Posted on: Thu, 03/18/2010 - 8:40am #267221
blackflash234ParticipantNets-John Wall.. Any Teams That Gets the 1st overall is taking him no matter what
Wolves-Evan Turner.. Any team that gets this pick with take Turner and make him a PG or a SG
Warriors-Hassan Whiteside… Warriors are loaded at the G position. Whiteside fits their transition game.
Pacers-Derrick Favors.. We all know Bird is a fan of taking seniors in the draft but I think this year, he’ll take Favors and simply because of the fact that Granger has publically come out and said that how he likes the freshman in this year’s draft. That’s a hint that he doesn’t want Bird taking another senior and I’m pretty shure that Bird won’t take his chances on Cousins because of his mental problems so Favors is their guy.
Wizards-DeMarcus Cousins.. I see the Wizards trading this pick and whoever obtains this pick will select Cousins.
Sixers-Wesley Johnson.. The Sixers lack 3 point shooters and I see them taking Wesley Johnson here. At first, I thought that the Sixers trade this pick for a point guard like Darren Collison but Jrue Holiday has started to emerge as the Sixers point guard of the future
Pistons- Donatas Motiejunas – Detroit lacks any good bigs at this point. They’ll take the best big available
Kings- Cole Aldrich… Kings really need an interior presence and the best bigs are already off of the board.
Jazz- Al-Farouq Aminu… Xavier Henry is also a possibility but with the play of Westley Matthews and the loss of Ronnie Brewer, I think the Jazz will go small foward as insurance for Andrei Kirilenko who is often injured
Clippers-Stanley Robinson.. I think it will come down to Robinson, Vesely and James but I think Robinson is the favourite here since because the Clippers like to draft players with vast potential like they did with Eric Gordon, Al Thornton, Blake Griffin was the obvious 1st overall pick and Chris Kaman.
Bucks-Jan Vesely- This pick will come down to Vesely and James because they don’t really need to fill their void at SG thanks to the emergane of John Salmons but really need and upgrade over Carlos Delfino who has been nothing but solid. Bucks have had success with drafting Europeans with potential so I see Vesely going here.
Hornets-Damion James.. With the emergance of Marcus Thornton, I think the Hornets will look at filling their void at SF meaning that Julian Wright’s career as a Hornet could be numbered. I see the Hornets taking Damion James here since because of the Hornets success drafting seniors like Collison and Thornton.
Grizzlies-Willie Warren.. Grizzles really need a point guard and Conley has been solid but not their answer at the point guard. Taking a guy like Warren could really help Memphis off of the bench and Warren could potentially be their point guard of the future once his PG skills develop.
Rockets-Larry Sanders… The Rockets will take the best PF/C available and this one happens to have potential.0 - Posted on: Thu, 03/18/2010 - 2:56pm #267350
