I watched him in person countless times last year and thought he was the most NBA ready player on Marquette, more so than McNeal. He was big at 6’5 200 and always defended the opposing teams best perimeter wing. He avgd like 8 ft attempts per game which showed his ability to get to the rack and had a very good outside shot. Needless to say I was shocked that no one drafted him. Now he is starting for one of the best teams in the league.

My question is this. Based on the current mock on this site, who do you see playing in the NBA next year that isn’t currently on the mock?

I just can’t imagine Scheyer not getting a look from teams. I also would have said Jerome Randle but I see he has sneaked in at #58. The kid may be 5’8 in shoes but he is tough and fearless.

    Thoughts?

For a guy to make it as an undrafted player right out of college, you can pretty much be assured that he will be as mature as they come (no point in a team carrying a guy with the 14th or 15th roster spot on a rookie who isn’t), professional (most are going to be practice players so they better do that well), and if not a point guard able to make an impact off the ball (when he does get in, he will probably be the last option).

The list of guys who come to mind for me as guys who would fit the mold:
    Ryan Brooks, Temple
    Jeremy Lin, Harvard
    Lance Thomas, Duke
    Ryan Wittman, Cornell
    Landry Fields, Stanford
    Trevon Hughes, Wisconsin
    Damian Johnson, Minnesota
    Tasmin Mitchell, LSU
    Marcus Johnson, USC
