The8thDeadlySinParticipantAs a senior in HS, I had 11 points, 13 assist, 21 rebound, 7 steals, and 5 block shots. Also, Im only like 6′ tall.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 03/15/2010 - 5:52pm #266408

butidonthavemoneyActually the song is, “It Was a Good Day”.
#smartarsesunite
Mikenike you might have missed it because llperez graciously censored the lyrics.

butidonthavemoneyI played my friend one-on-one in my room in the fourth grade. We played first to 300. I scored 298 points.

llperezyeah, you need to catch up on your ice cube mikenike. But yes, i do record my stats at the park. MOst think it is odd, but they don’t have my skills.

kaceyParticipantYou crack me up dude.
Best HS game for me was against 19 points against some sucky team. Most efficient game was against former WKU role player Ty Rogers. 14 points on 5/5 from the field (2-2 on 3’s), and 2/2 from the ft line. Ty Rogers was all that team had, so again another sucky team. And no, Ty Rogers was not guarding me. Our team held him to 14 points, which was one of the worse outings he had that year.
Church league best, was 30 something points, and almost had a dunk tip, which would have been my first dunk in any game I have ever played in my life. That opportunity to throw down in a game is running out quick.
The good ol’ days.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 03/15/2010 - 6:32pm #266432
knicksfan7ParticipantOne time in the park I had 8 assists in a game up to 21, never kept stats nor did I play any organized ball. I am thinking about playing club ball for my college for my junior and senior years though.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 03/15/2010 - 6:44pm #266436

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantI had 34 points on 10-10 from downtown and 4-4 from the line in a summer league game at my gym. Yes, it’s a rec league, and no, there isn’t much competition. Don’t judge me.
0- Posted on: Mon, 03/15/2010 - 6:58pm #266442
knicksfan7ParticipantOrangeJuiceJones I remember scouting that game and you missed twice from downtown, but then responded with 6 3’s in a row.
0
- Posted on: Mon, 03/15/2010 - 6:57pm #266441
whiteflashParticipantI had some pretty decent scoring games in some summer leagues and pro-ams, but my all-time best stat is dunking on Taliek Brown during a pickup game. That was pretty cool.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 03/15/2010 - 7:02pm #266443

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantDon’t play like that, man. That was the best game of my life, but I’m lucky I was being guarded by some old guy (well, he isn’t really old, he’s in his 40’s) whose idea of defense is to stand 8 feet away from me with one hand up.
0- Posted on: Mon, 03/15/2010 - 7:06pm #266444
knicksfan7Participantahahahaha man if I had defenders like that I would have fun. I would shoot every time.

butidonthavemoneyI’m pretty much an excellent defender. Check out my block…

butidonthavemoneyI know knicksfan. It was sick wasn’t it! Yeah, the dude never showed his face again after that REJECTION!!!
Actually I think he killed himself…
0 - Posted on: Mon, 03/15/2010 - 7:33pm #266450
knicksfan7ParticipantI heard in his suicide letter he mentioned that block. DOES THAT MAKE YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT?????
0 - Posted on: Mon, 03/15/2010 - 7:40pm #266453

butidonthavemoneyI’m pretty sleepy now that you mention it. Anyway, the world was better off without him. The only people who loved him was his mother, wife and 7 children. Plus I heard that he was mooching off the US government. What you think you deserve a government-paid wheelchair just because you dove in front of a wounded soldier and took a bullet in the leg in Iraq? Whoop-dee-doo.
Whatever. I block suckers like him in my sleep!

llperezdang, who knew this site was full of straight up ballers. Guys put up some numbers around here. And nomoney is a lock down defender in the wheelchair league.

TobiasFunkeParticipantEasy, glory days. I don’t mean to be insulting, but 8th grade intramurals…really? You remember your EXACT stat line from middle school intramurals? This a Bill Simmons scale in the making…least legitimate stat claims. With that said, during Koosh basketball in my room in 2nd grade, my invented player on my fictional all-star team put up video game-esque numbers against the fictional opposition I was playing against. It was close for a while and emotions ran high, but ultimately my fictional star player just took over the game — completely crushing the other fictional team I was manning. What can I say, my ego got the best of me. I really wore myself out from all Coke consumption and simultaneously playing both sides/ keeping track of all the player’s names and attributes I made up. I used a tennis ball instead of a Koosh though, so it was totally legit…
0 - Posted on: Tue, 03/16/2010 - 1:24am #266495

itsOvaParticipantjust a couple weeks ago I got 10point 15rebound and 5assists in my university intramural, its not crazy stat, but its good for me, because most games I only score 2 points or less and grab about 10rebounds and 5 assists. I never won a game because, every one except me on my team is a ball hog.
0 - Posted on: Tue, 03/16/2010 - 2:48am #266500
canesboy6Participant15 and Unders AAU ball, I scored 31. Don’t remember rebounds or assists, probably had some dimes because I was a point guard. Rebounding….never my strongest attribute. Don’t think I was playing against anybody that noteworthy, only name I remember is a guy named Brian Holmes who is playing for North Florida next year. I was just absolutely on fire and making everything, honest to god it was a little bit flukey haha I’m more of a passer and defender.
Speaking of North Florida, they are going to be beasts in the Atlantic Sun soon. Thier coach, Mark Driscoll, was an Assistant at Baylor. He is the one who did the amazing work with Ekpe Udoh last year. They also have my boy from Miami I played with a few times Jerron Granberry. Led them in scoring as freshman, wasn’t even listed on any recruiting sites.

joecheck88Participanti didnt keep track of stats and went to HS in a small town but usually the 2 best players from a game would be in the paper. So I had 1 good game that made the paper and thats why I remeber it. And I was just a solid role player but I was feelin it this game. My stat line was:
16pts, 6reb, 3ast, 4 stls, 2/2 on 3pt and like 5 of 7 from inside the 3.

DanEboyParticipantI used to go to the parks on the Southside of Chicago with a couple friends of mine. They both played for Westinghouse, which was a powerhouse school before it closed down a couple of years ago. It has since reopened and is starting to gain prominence again. Anyway, I am a white boy who looks like he can play a little because I am 6’4 and lanky. I am a terrible basketball player though, played baseball my whole life. I would just go and watch all of these playground legends and high school prospects ball.
One day though, they were running a 3 on 3 tourney and my 2 buddies wanted to enter. It was just like White Men Can’t Jump and I felt like Billy Hoyle. The game started and I immediately regretted my decision. They figured out very quickly that I sucked and everytime I touched the ball they just triple teamed me until I turned it over. I can’t remember any names but these guys were all taller than me and serious ballers. This happened about 4 times at which point they told me to get off the court. I swear to God. I was asked to leave the park!! Haha, embarrassing to say the least.
My stat line from that game:
0pts 0reb 0ast 0stl 0blk 4 turnovers

JoeWolf1I was always kind of a defensive player, could score but wasn’t a focal point of my teams offense but loved blocking shots and running the floor, my Jr year I split time between JV and Varsity and Sr year started varsity. im in my late 20’s but I found my old stat books not too long ago.
Jr. year JV ball – 7 pts 16 rbs 9 blocks 4 steals
Jr year Varsity ball – 9 points 5 rbs 1 steal
Sr. year Varsity ball – 16 points 6 rbs 4 blocks 4 steals0 - Posted on: Tue, 03/16/2010 - 8:18am #266531
whyyouhatingParticipantMy team mates where on average 38 years old, they where tired
In the second game of a tourney I shot about every shot
ended up with 62. We lost by about 30 points I felt like Kobe or Rajon Rondo playing with the Celtics.0 - Posted on: Tue, 03/16/2010 - 9:05am #266542

Da1potParticipantMy best game to date has been 32 points, 10 assists and 12 rebounds for my club team. I had nine threes in that game, too! I score probably about 80% of my points on threes!

marcusfizer21ParticipantIn our Faculty Sportsfest which includes the whole university, I played in two games and byfar the first one was the best I ever had…
21 points 6 three-pointers and an and one play…1 reb…LOL
My previous best game was six years ago when I had 16 points and 6 rebounds… I don’t score that much in the League but in pick-up games, I tend to score a lot…LOOL

WrecklessParticipantMy handles are pretty weak, but im in the 8th grade and they will naturally get better. I got 8 pts, 6 boards, and 7 assists. Didnt really get alot of minutes. When my handles get better, ill eventually get better at driving to the lane, right now i tend to shy away from it. Just being honest.

Henry25Participantmy freshman year on varsity i had 4 games in a row with 20+ points. They went 24, 23, 20, 27. Best stretch ever of my life. Most of them came off of threes. This year, my junior year, my best game was 31
