pujdadeuceParticipant…I remember the kid being raw talent, but kinda nice. I know he had some issues at Minnesota and as a result is no longer there. What do yall think though, is his B-ball career over or will we here something about dude down the line?

tonyl33ParticipantI just don’t know what to say about this kid. On the real, he would of made the gophers so much better if he didn’t do the bone headed mistakes that he did. This is for all the potential stars out there, once you’ve been label a STAR in the making, get out of the HOOD. Just go to the gym and back and wait for the money to roll in, you’ll be able to buy anything you want once you make it pro, signing million $ contracts. Why steals from Macy’s and on Campus? Do you really think your going to get away with it?

darkman97ParticipantThis was our key recuit for the Gophers this year. I was really looking forward to this years team. What the Gophers are missing is a good inside force that he would’ve provided. As far as him and his problems, the Macy’s at MOA was totally his fault and he owned up to that. The laptop on campus was and may never be proven to be him that took it. I think the University of Minnesota dropped the ball on that one. First, this happened before the season started and it’s still being investagated. How long should it take to figure this out. And in the meantime, why is he not allowed to play if he isn’t proven guilty yet. Sounds like a case of guilty until proven innocent instead of the other way around. Tubby has said that he would be open to having White back on the team in the future, but I doubt that will happen.

quinceyhodgesthats how it is most of the time. guilty untill proven innocent. especially if the news catch wind of it. once the public knows it puts the school in a bad position where they have to take action. especially if some of the alumni and boosters start talking. those are the ones that run the schools

pujdadeuceParticipant…Yeah, from the articles I read online it seems as if everything is still up in the air. I did see a video on Youtube of him trying to defend himself and he stated that he was “done” with college basketball. So I’m wondering if he’ll try declaring this year or trying the NBDL or overseas route, guess well have to wait and see.

darkman97ParticipantI know a girl that goes to Hopkins High School ( school White went to after his problems at De LaSalle) and she told me he isn’t the nicest person. Thinks he’s owed something and he’s God’s Gift to Basketball. So if he can’t even get on the court this year it would’ve been a looong four years of headaches.

quinceyhodgesyoull always find someone who has something bad to say about everyone. id say listen to the masses more then one person

canesboy6Participantwhen its an inside source, somebody who knew them in highschool, I’d say it has some value. Maybe thats one persons opinion, and everyyybody else in the world disagrees with that. Or more than likely, since we’re having this conversation and he has been in legal trouble already, she was to something. One thing I tend to actually take seriously on the internet is what people who know them say about a kid. It rings more true when I hear from an inside source that a guy is a good kid, or has a big ego.

quinceyhodgesyeah but you never know what motives someone may have.. the person may have wanted to date the guy or the guy might not have liked her for some reason. or they had some type of falling out. it could be true but it also could be false

quinceyhodgestheres a kid down here in florida named charles hankarson who my ex’s son goes to school with and he says that the kid is extremeley big headed. it could be true or my ex’s son could be jealous

darkman97ParticipantWell with this girl I know, I don’t think she’s jealous. I started the conversation based on how good the team is and how they had some good D1 players on the team. Asked about White and she said how arrogant he is and rude but I also asked about Trent Lockett ( who is currently playing at Arizona State) and she said he was very nice and likeable. But I agree that you can’t go by what one person says all the time, but there is a pattern.

quinceyhodgesyeah thats why i say i wouldnt fully believe it but i wouldnt fully dismiss it either. if more people start saying the same thing or something different then id start to lean toward one way or another

darkman97ParticipantI wouldn’t recommend him going overseas until he gets his act together. The laws in other countries are sometimes tougher and with him beings an American, they would love to set an example of him. Jumping into the draft would be the worst thing he could do. Nobody seen him play in high level competiton and he wasn;t even a player picked to go pro after HS if the rule wasn;t there anyway. NBDL could be a good option for him, get some training and actually play or see if any other colleges would take a chance on him. But he does need to cut ties with Minnesota

quinceyhodgeshe will probably end up going to another lower level school. if not he can make some good money overseas even if its in a lower divison

HaleParticipantI’ve met the guy. He seemed alright but he thinks he can get away with lots of things, and well him being so highly recruited must have just gotten to his head.
