cuseflynn10ParticipantWhere would stats like this get you drafted:
16 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 1 steal, 30% from deep, 80% from the foul line, 43% from the field as a sophomore.
If you know who I’m talking about don’t say so I can get everyone’s opinion.0 - Posted on: Tue, 03/02/2010 - 3:29pm #262294

llperezit’s silly to even try and answer this question. I’ve seen guys put up better stats go undrafted and guys put lesser stats and go lottery.

quinceyhodgesi agree you cant know unless you know who they play against and actually see them play on top of there size, skill set etc

fastdanParticipantYou talking about a fantasy draft?…because those are the only drafts where only numbers matter.

itsOvaParticipantI remember Marvin Williams got drafted with pretty average/bad numbers.

sheltwon3ParticipantI depends on if they have skills that can translate to the NBA. I have seen guys that led college in scoring go undrafted. College number don’t mean as much unless you are skilled or athletic enough for it to translated to the next level. There are so guys they average more in the nba then they did in college.

Henry25Participantconsidering this guy is Willie Warren, yes I would draft him the lottery. He had a bad season this year, but my god he has serious skill, talent, and potential

JoeWolf1Yeah, where you play and who you play against and size and athleticims has a huge impact on where you go in the draft.
On stats alone where would this guy go?
Forward/Center
17 ppg 13.2 rpg 57% fg 58% ft 1.9 bpg 1.6 spg

knicksfan7ParticipantJoe, are those stats of a mid-major guy if so probably the 2nd round or undrafted depending on the guy’s size, if it’s a guy from a major conference, that’s lottery.

MagikKnickParticipantStats are completely irrelevant in the draft
If I told you:
22ppg, 13rpg, and 2.1bpg
or
16ppg, 10rpg, and 1.7bpg
You’d obviously pick the first one…
But then if i told youArt Parakhouski
or
Demarcus Cousins….
you’d quickly & easily select Cousins

JoeWolf1very true, its Morehead State’s junior forward/center Kenneth Faried,…he is 6’8” he is a great college player, but is most likely a 2nd round pick this year or most likely next seasons, BUT if he was doing that in a big conference, you are right, he’d be lottery
