llperezi was watching some of it, and i know im beating a dead horse here, but that tommy heinson announcer for the celtics is the biggest whiner i’ve ever heard as an announcer. He litterally seems angry with every comment. I think even celtic fans should feel a little embarrased by him.

IndianaBasketballParticipantLet’s not forget that even though the Nets have the worst record in the league, they’re NBA players. It doesn’t mean that something is seriously wrong with the Celtics because they dropped this game. Lopez and Harris came to play today and the Celtics didn’t bring that intensity on the defensive end.
One positive for the Celtics is that KG really had it going today. The Celtics are an older team and it looks like they’re coasting… Impatiently awaiting the playoffs.

M-DYMESParticipantThe Nets aren’t nearly as bad as their record makes them out to be. They have the potential to be a half decent team. I mean Harris was an All-star and is regaining some of that form, Lopez is a very talented big man, Yi can catch fire, and then they have decent wing players in Lee and CDR. They have plenty of scoring options, they just haven’t been able to get on the same page this year for some reason. I see no reason why they can’t win at least 10 this season.

MagikKnickParticipantYeah, the Nets are good on paper, nice roster, just cant translate that on the court…
Definetly a talented team though, with a really bright future..
Hopefully this win over a powerhouse team will give them some confidence moving forward…and help them avoid 9 wins

IndianaBasketballParticipantI disagree with you there. The Nets are definitely as bad as their record lol. They’re a terrible offensive team, which doesn’t make sense considering the offensive talent they have. They’re also a bad rebounding team. I know they’re a young team and had some injuries at the beginning of the season, but they shouldn’t be this bad.
They’re still NBA players though and are capable of putting together good games, especially when teams don’t take them seriously. That’s what the Celtics did today. They didn’t bring intensity at the defensive end and allowed Lopez, Harris and Lee to have big games. Harris has been playing like an All-Star this month averaging 21 and 9. Lee is having his best month as a Net.

OldSkoolBasketballParticipantAm I only one that actually want the Nets to have the worst record ever? History to be made people!

NashyMingParticipantThe Nets will need 3 more wins to tie the record. The worst record was 9-73 by the 76ers (forgot the year).
I actually hope the Nets won’t make history although I am not a big Nets fan.

thaprodigyParticipantAs a celtics fan all I can say is it was Saturday

IndianaBasketballParticipantRegardless of if they break the record or not, they’ll still have one of the worst records and be considered one of the worst teams in NBA history.
I don’t think they’ll break the record. I see at least seven winnable games remaining on their schedule. They play the Wizards twice, 76ers, Kings, Pistons and Pacers. They also have the Bulls twice and Bobcats, two teams they’ve already beaten this season… Beat the Bobcats both games this season.

SwatLakeCityParticipantThaprodigy:
What does the fact that its Saturday have anything to do with the Celtics losing to the Nets? I mean no matter what day of the week it is, and no matter who you play on that day you have to bring your “A” game in order to win. Otherwise the other team will play extremely well and beat you. This especially happens when you play lowly teams such as the Nets, Wolves, Warriors, Clippers Wiz, and the Pacers (just to name a few)This is what the celtics did not do, they did not bring their “A” game. They must have been down in the dumps after losing by 20 to the Cavs on thursday. What ever the case is they better get their act together soon, or they will be ousted in the Playoffs by the end of the FIRST ROUND. Or they might not even make the playoffs. no team has clinched their conference yet.
