    What evidence do we have that Whiteside will not be just another Thabeet? Whitside is already 21 and he plays against poor competition. What in his game gives him a better chance to make a difference than Thabeet? Does he run the floor a lot better? Does he atleast have some offensive game? Is he more athletic? I’m just curious because people seemed pretty enamored with Thabeet last year.

    I was kinda feeling Thabeet last year until he was pwnd by Blair. It became apparent that he wouldn’t be able to overcome other bigs playing physical with him, which obviously was going to happen in the NBA. I don’t like the D league decision and to be honest I don’t think the Grizz would be smart to give up on him. A young big usually takes time to develop and I think everyone knew that would be the case with Thabeet. My guess is they wanted to trade that 2 pick but nobody wanted it…

    I’m not high on Whiteside like most are, but Whiteside does have more offensive game than Thabeet. He has more post moves right now than Thabeet has ever had in his entire life

    about Whiteside being able to run the floor well, but I get the feeling that is relative to the center position. If he could run well that would help considering there are a lot of teams that don’t play their regular center against running teams because they can’t keep up.

    Whiteside is more atheltic, has some post moves and good mid-range jumper.

    Whiteside is more of a natural basketball player and has more of a feel for the game. Thabeet on the other hand is not a natural basketball player- despite his evident physical gifts.
