Lol that’s hilarious. Kramer is a tough dude though… Looks like he should be playing DB on a football squad. I’m sure he doesn’t need anybody to motivate him, but this should definitely put some fire in his stomach heading into that matchup!

Chris Kramer is a three-time All-Big Ten defender and has shut down numerous future-NBA players in his career, but that hasn’t stopped the Big Ten’s top player from questioning the senior guard’s abilities.

Ohio State’s Evan Turner, a national Player of the Year candidate, took to his Twitter account late Sunday night to question Kramer’s defensive abilities.

“Reason why Chris Kramer doesnt guard the other team’s best player anymore is because he can’t lol,” Turner tweeted.

The junior later responded to other tweeters that he was watching TV at the time and the announcers were discussing how Kramer no longer guards the other team’s top player until the final moments of games. Kramer didn’t guard Turner until there were less than four minutes left in No. 3 Purdue’s win at Ohio State Wednesday.

Purdue fans quickly lit up the OSU star’s Twitter page, leading him to step back a bit with Tweets like “Take it easy, I got respect for Kramer” and “Could you please not blow that up. It’s nothing to talk about. Let’s not take anything away from either team.”

The damage had already been done, however.

“I don’t know what he’s saying. He can call me out all he wants; all I know is we won that game,” Kramer said after seeing the Tweets. “Evan is a great player, obviously. He’s going to take his game to the next level and be a great NBA player. So he can call me out all he wants, no big deal. I’m not even going to worry about it.”

Turner leads the Big Ten in scoring with 19.5 points per game, and rebounding with 9.3 per game. He’s also second in the league in assists and third in the league in steals. He was awarded his record sixth Big Ten Player of the Week Award of the season Monday after averaging 24.5 points per game in OSU’s win over Michigan State and loss to Purdue last week.

He averaged 31.5 points per game against the Boilers this year, but didn’t shoot better than 50 percent in either of the teams’ two meetings. Purdue is one game ahead of the Buckeyes in the Big Ten standings.

With everything Kramer said about Turner’s comments, he complimented the OSU guard’s abilities. The senior was careful to avoid saying anything that could be twisted to sound like a retaliation.

Simply put, he knows the teams could meet again in the Big Ten or NCAA tournaments.

“You can’t even worry about it,” Kramer said. “What’s the big deal? He can say anything he wants. It’s on Twitter. Personally, I don’t know why you’d do that. You know people are going to see it and know about it. Ultimately, if that’s what he thinks, then that’s what he thinks.”

i agree okee. im a fan of trash talk as long as youre backin git up. jordan bird were 2 of the biggest trash talkers ever but backed it up. i always hate when people like dick vitale say its not good for the sport and has no place in basketball and just play…im like really?..all these kids play street ball growing up and im pretty sure they hear alot worst and some even get into fights. basketball is starting to become ultra sensitive,, hell people these days are becoming too sensitive

Turner also made fun somebody’s kid. He said, “that lil kid in ur pic looks like he has down syndrome” to somebody after they said he looked like an avatar.
