Last time, I’m not trying to be persnickity or pushy, but really. Read the weaknesses about Kris Joesph that Jonathan Wasserman wrote for this Website. Let’s be foreal. I’m not trying to punk this guy, but please come correct.

You won’t find five real basketball fans who would say:

    1. “Kris is very raw, and his offensive game is rather limited.”

    2. “He has a poor handle of the basketball”

    3. “Kris has a low basketball IQ.”

    4. “Right now his skill set is too limited to have any impact at the next level.”

Honestly, his handle is his best attribute. He gets to the bucket at ease. Even better than Wesley Johnson. His IQ seemed pretty good last night when he drove to the bucket for the game-winning shot. And he’s a 3-point shot from being a first-round pick.

People laughed when I said Willie Warren wouldn’t be a lottery pick.
People laughed when I guaraunteed that Wesley Johnson would be a lottey pick.
People laughed when I said Carmelo would lead the NBA in scoring.

When did he write these reviews on Air Canada?, because if it was last year I think you and me both can understand some of what he was saying, at times he did look lost out there, he seemed everytime he touch the ball he dribbled it off his knee lol, but I think alot of that was just nervousness/anxiousness coming off the bench and playing as a frosh, but if he said this stuff about him this year, well thats just obsurd, the kid is the 2nd leading scorer on a top 5 team COMING OFF THE BENCH!!! You and I have both said that this kid can be a very very good player at the college level and the NBA, and ive said before on this site i think hes going to be a strong candidate for Big East POY next year.

HueBond, I haven’t quiet figured who he would be in the NBA. It won’t be Ruben Patterson as Wasserman suggests because he doesn’t come close to Patterson’s defense. This guy probably never even saw those Cincinnatti teams back in the day. I even heard war stories about Patterson before he landed at UC. He lit up some junior college guys one summer night and scored about 50. It was crazy. These guys wanted to quit playing basketball.

DHamp  GIVE IT A REST! You’re like a broken record.

I agree with what Jonathan Wasserman wrote.

Don’t take everything negative written about your beloved Syracuse players so personally. Joseph’s lack of polish and "basketball IQ" was on full display yesterday vs G’Town. He had numerous errors and you use that game as an example to prove that he has all those attributes? Look at the shooting numbers 3-11, look at the turnovers 3, look at the whole game! He did not show any of those things to disprove what was written.

Having a low basketball IQ is something that can be improved on. Right? We think he needs another year. Isn’t that a good thing? Joseph back playing with the Cuse next year. i know you want to see it.

He’s a great prospect. Much better than he is a NBA ready player right now. He’s in the mid first round in 2011. WE LIKE HIM. Chill man!

PS – Dhamp you started writing Willie Warren wouldn’t be a lotto pick WAY after that was obvious. You need to go out on a limb once in a while!

That’s not true, Aran. You’re over this site and therefore are able to search previous threads!!! I said Willie Warren wouldn’t be a lottery pick after what two or three games! I dare you to disprove that.

Also, I don’t have a problem if the criticism is accurate, but even you have to admit Joseph’s ball handle are good, at worst.

You want me to give it a rest, fine. It’s you’re site. But I’m right way, way, way more often than I’m wrong.

It’s funny how you ask me to go out on the limb……That’s all I ever do!

I will say I hadn’t yet checked the 2011 mock draft. Glad to know he’s in there.

Considering Kris is only a sophmore he has time to develop over the summer and all next season without Wes in his way. He averages 11 and 5 coming off the bench. Those are pretty solid numbers. His main strength is scoring off the dribble but his main weakness is shooting especially from deep. I think he will put up 15 and 8 numbers next year in a great Cuse offense with Triche, Waiters, Joseph, Jackson, and Melo.
