nateoak10Participant– Kevin Martin will be trade at the deadline OR the off season?
– Devin Harris will be traded if they get Wall?
– Aminu will be better than Wes Johnson?
– Donatas will be a bust?
– Ray Allen would resign with Boston if he’s not traded?

knicksfan7ParticipantWhy does everyone want to get rid of Kevin martin so badly???
No, give it a year and then the Nets may deal Harris. If they get that #1 pick.
Aminu has the potential to be the better player, but Wes is the better player right now.
Donatas, we’ll have to see once he gets to the NBA.
Yeah, I think Ray Allen would resign he’s a very loyal guy who likes to be settled in one place rather than moving around. When he got traded from Seattle he was upset about that because he liked it there.

iceman21ParticipantKevin needs to stay in Sac-town.
Harris is gone if they get the 1 pick.
Allen is gonna take less $ and stay in Boston.0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/16/2010 - 8:16am #256784

MagikKnickParticipant1. Dont think they WILL, but I think they SHOULD
2. Not instantly…they might keep him around for Walls rookie season, and let him go afterwards
3. Good question, its very possible….Aminu has the potential too, and Wes is already 24, so who knows
4. I Personally dont like Montijunas, but still wayy to early to tell how much success he’ll have in the NBA
5. I think Allen will re-sign, only to be traded anyway…

droppindimes247ParticipantI don’t agree with your assesment that the kings should trade Kevin Martin. I live in the Sacramento area and what this team needs is a guy that can hit the shots late. Martin has averaged over 7 free throw attempts a game this year and by all standards this year has been very sub-par for him. Seeing him ride the pine for long periods and being injured (like always). However, if you have watched a Kings game lately you would have seen Tyreke Evans serving up open shots for Martin like a 4 course meal. This team is 1 player away from being on the cusp of the playoffs, but not if they have to give Martin up in a deal. Trade Garcia, they have 2 younger and better versions (Casspi and Greene). I say hold on to the young man he has tons of talent, plus if you trade him for a big name star the guy may try and skip town. We traded for Drew Gooden last year who is a midlevel guy and he had his bags packed before he even touched down in Sacramento. Keep the parts you have no addition by subtraction.

JNixonParticipantThey’ll keep Martin until the off-season. I think he’s too much of a one-trick pony though, which limits the Kings team success.
Yes he would be gone. But only if they get the 1st pick.
No I don’t think so. I think Johnson will be better for the foreseeable future, but Aminu will be better longer because he’s so much younger.
No, but he will start his career off slow as he develops the basketball IQ and (more importantly) the strength to rebound, defend the post, and polish his game more. He’ll have a mediocre rookie year, a promising Year 2, then break out in Year 3.
Yes, he’d have to take a big pay cut, but I think he’d be willing to do it. He’s a stand up pro. He’ll be in his twilight after that though.
