DanEboyParticipantSo Ohio St. just went into Champaign and blew out Illinois who had won 5 in a row, including wins against Mich. St and Wisconsin at the Kohl Center. Evan Turner had 16-11-8 with ease.
The Buckeyes are now 20-6 (10-3) in conference play and are running on all cylinders right now having won 6 in a row. They have some good players in Buford, Diebler, and Lighty, but where would this team be without Turner? They are 17-3 when he plays, 3-3 without him. Where would Kentucky be without Wall? If you pitted Kentucky against Ohio St. with both players on the bench Kentucky would blow them out.
John Wall may be the #1 pick but how could Turner not win POY?

JNixonParticipantGatorheels made a post the other day about Ohio State being Final 4 sleepers. I don’t think they are THAT good, but I do think they can make it to the Sweet 16. They have stepped up and they are a good team when Turner is in the lineup.
I do like Turner as POY though.

DanEboyParticipantI think they can make the Final 4. They are a junior heavy team with experience and have some really good shooters in Diebler and Buford. They lack a strong inside presence which could ultimately hurt them against teams like Kentucky and Kansas though.
