Was looking at the players who got invited to try out and was thinking who will and who won’t make it, so here goes it.

    PG’s Make it
    Chris Paul
    Deron Williams
    Derrick Rose
    PG’s Don’t Make it
Russell Westbrook- He’s great, but I don’t see him beating out any of those 3 guys
    Chauncey Billups- Age.

    SG’s Make it
    Dwyane Wade
    Kobe Bryant
SG’s Don’t Make it- Self explanatory why they’re not making it
    Eric Gordon
    OJ Mayo
    Andre Igoudala
    SF’s Make it
    Lebron James
    Kevin Durant
    Carmelo Anthony
SF’s Don’t Make it- Self explanatory why they’re not making it
    Danny Granger
    Rudy Gay
    Gerald Wallace
    PF’s Make it
    Chris Bosh
    Amar’e Stoudemire
    PF’s Don’t Make it
Carlos Boozer- He will be older and I don’t think he’s much of a team player, and not as athletic as Amar’e.
    Lamar Odom- Age.
Lamarcus Aldridge- Lacks experience, better comp ahead of him
    Kevin Love- Same as Aldridge
David Lee- Lacks athleticism compared to those guys, but knows how to play a team game I think he is the 4th best behind Boozer, but coaches may love Lee and want him
    C’s Make it
    Dwight Howard
    Brook Lopez
    C’s Don’t Make it
Al Jefferson- Could go either way with Brook Lopez, but I just like Lopez more
Kendrick Perkins- The weakest link of the 4.

Billups could make it over rose if they want a little leadership like they did with jason kidd

I think Chris Paul and Deron Williams with in 2012 7-8 seasons under there belt is enough leadership right there.

Word is that Rondo never got an invitation and is a little upset bout that fact. Spokespeople are trying to say they knew that Rondo would be “busy” during time of try-outs and the games. But, supposedly the door is still open for him to come and tryout. Do you think he could make the team as a solid defender and distributor? He could give the team another dynamic as you know there will not be a lack of scorers on this team.

yeah i think he would make it with ease…over westbrook and rose with no problem because of the make up of the team and he fact everyone knows that he knows how to play while being surrounded by stars. he doesnt mind passing up a open shot or concentrating on defense and locking someone down. hes perfect for a team like this

That is what I was thinking too. I can’t even count how many heady and smart plays he makes a game. The guy just knows how to get what he wants on the court and can dictate how the game is played. I think he would mesh well with this team as well. Look how quickly Garnett, Pierce, and Ray took to him even when he was unproven.

I heard him and Bynum were the only 2 to decline an invitation.

I think they would pick Billups over Rose for his shooting ability. Although, now I’m not so sure. It will be close between those two.

Boozer is a team player. What would make you think he wasn’t? He is every bit the passer that David Lee is. He sets screens, can move without the ball, and has gold medal experience. These things are what coaches look for in a 12th man. I think they’ll take him over Lopez.

Granger over Amare. Again, shooting. Also, Amare really doesn’t have an olympian’s attitude/reputation.

Quincey, Rondo declined an invitation to the Olympic team. He won’t be on it.

no they already talked about it..he didnt decline they were under the impression that he would decline sothey didnt offer him a invite. now that rondo cleared things up they said he is more then welcome to participate… also people can be added or subtracted by 2012. this isnt the end all tryout roster
