Well, This dunk contest this year was just BORING
and BAD
and yeah, it could be one of the worst of all time..
I think these are the Main Reasons why it has been like this:
Lack Of Stars in The Contest – There is just no star power in the dunk contest, no Dominique or Michael, No More Vince Carter or Steve Francis or Dwight Howard..
no Julius erving or CLyde The Glide
Tha Stars in the NBA just dont want to go
Rivalries – No Rivalries like Nique Vs MJ or The Big Dwight vs The Small Nate
No More Dunks – No more dunks to do, Nobody can think of any new dunk that
nobody has done before, Almost every dunk has been done…
Judges – In my opinion the winner should be by the Grade if the judges
Not Fan Voting
The Number of Dunkers – 4… Really.. 4 Dunkers??
They have to few dunkers, Remember back then when there was 8 Dunkers
I think they should go back to that
8 dunkers 3 dunks a round with 3 rounds , 3 dunkers eliminated each round
But i think (and hope) that next year or years after that, That the next great dunker(ala
Vince Carter) will relive the fun of the dunk contest

i’m not too sure about the stars thing. I mean, other then lebron, what other stars do you want to see? Some of the best dunkers since I;ve been watching the contest were not stars like Isiah rider, desmond mason, brent barry, jason richardson and nate robinson. So i don’t think it is a stars issue.
as for no more dunks to do, i absolutley agree. Guys have done it all. I mean, if you go between the legs now while in the air or jump from the free throw line, people yawn and say “hated it”.

Mr. 720 is Taurian Fontenette. He was at the dunk contest, he just handed Nate the award. He’s in the D-League right now so maybe if we are lucky, he will be in it one day.

I think Nate is overrated because of his small size, what do you think ? I mean he did great dunk for a guy his size but a lot of other players can do the same ones.
In 2006 he won against Iguodala, since then i don’t really care of Dunk contest anymore, because man Andre showed great dunks, the “behind the board” and the “behind the back” ones were so awesome, I will never understand why he didn’t win that one.
A lot of buzz around Shannon Brown for nothing, so disappointing. DeRozan was the best imo, still don’t understand why he had to do the dunk-in thing which was so ridiculous.

WORST EVER! & i dont know what they can do to fix it other than allow guys who arent in the NBA to participate, and we all know that can’t ever happen. there are original dunks out there, but the guys who are doing them arent in the NBA…LBJ is not a creative dunker, and while he is very popular, he’s not really gonna add much technically
