ThugmanParticipantThe rookies just beat the sophs. Granted the sophomores didn’t have derrick rose, but you gotta say that was pretty impressive. It wasn’t such a bad draft after all.

MagikKnickParticipantThey did a great job at beating the sophomores, but i dont see how it makes them any less-weak
Hasheem Thabeet, Jordan Hill, Terrence Williams, Earl Clark, Austin Daye, James Johnson were all selected in the top 16 picks, and they’ve all been big dissapointments as far as rookie seasons go
Pretty much any draft pick made that is not a guard, or Casspi, Blair, Gibson, and Jerebko have been a dissapointment
I’d still label this draft class weak compared to the average draft class..

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantIt was a great draft for point guards; Lawson, Flynn, Jennings, Beaubois, Maynor, Evans and Curry (sorry if I missed anyone) are all guys who have the talent or potential to be starting point guards in the NBA. As far as up front goes…… we’ll just have to marinate on that for a little bit.

quinceyhodgesi dont think rose was the difference… you say it like they were missing kobe or lebron. defense on evans and jennings wasnt there and rose isnt aq good defender so the points still would have came. my hats off to the rookies cuz i had them losing

the I in winParticipantwestbrook had 40, do you think rose would have had more?

quinceyhodgeswith both playing?..ummmm nope. plus im pretty sure westbrook was trying to break the record since it was kd who had it

the I in winParticipantthats my point, with rose their westbrook wouldn’t have gotten so much and he was the reason the game was close.

ThugmanParticipantOrangeJuiceJones, there’s collison too and you may include rubio. 2009s was a deep guard draft. For now it will also be known as the ‘jumbled up’ draft; with budinger and blair going as low as they did and thabeet going second. Though we can only judge objectively after the players have a few seasons under their belts.

marcusfizer21ParticipantDerrick Rose wouldn’t score 40 and he knows he won’t… He’s glad to play with this group of guys because he knows they can shoot unlike his team… So should Rose join the Rookie-Soph game he would have had a 14 and 12 but not 40 points…
