At halftime he has 19pts 6reb 7ast 3stl and is 5-9 on 3’s. Too bad they are blowing out the Clippers so he probably won’t play the whole game.

I keep hearing people on here saying that his ceiling is not as high as Jennings, Evans, etc. Can someone please explain why? He is putting up great numbers as a rookie, I don’t care what kind of system he is in. He shooting is exceptional, he is a very good passer, and he has great instincts that lead to a ton of steals.

So why can’t he be an all-star player in a couple of years and outshine those other guys?

Also, when he heard that Morrow wasn’t in the 3pt contest he offered up his spot for him. That shows the kind of man he is as well.

    Edit- 36pts 10reb 13ats 3stl 7-11 on threes. Baller.

This team is totally decimated. Morrow and Watson played all 48, Curry and Toliver played 46.

I like him as a person, and I think he is a solid player, but not spectacular…I think Jennings has more starpower

I understand what you are saying. I think a lot of people see ceiling as being something that is really high for guys that are raw and/or super athletes. He’s not one of those guys, but I think it’s crazy to dismiss that they guy can’t keep improving. I wouldn’t be surprised if he not only maxes out his talent, but has a really long career. Guys with high IQs and good fundamentals tend to stay in the league and produce for a long time. People also forget that he’s only played the PG position for 2 years and this is his first taste of really good talent night in and night out.

DanE, I personally think he has an extremely high ceiling. He already has the ability to create shots for himself whenever he needs to, which i think is a vital part of a first tier point guard. His passing ability is good enough where he could average 8+ assists with experience, even if he isn’t a natural point guard. I love his game, and any player that can give you 20-5-8-2 is a stud in my book.

i agree i think his celing is alot higher then what some peopel think. when you can get off youre shot while being a great shooter and can get to the whole and can handle and pass then thats some deadly combinations

Call me crazy, but I think he has a Steve Nash type ceiling. He isn’t a great athlete, but he is quick, smart, deadly shooter, and a very good passer and defender. This is the type of guy who during his prime can average about 22pg, 8assts, 5rpg, and 2stls while making 2 threes a game. That’s a great player in my book. His ceiling is not as high however as Jennings, because Jennings has even better athleticism and passing instincts in my opinion
