JNixonParticipantWhat is the difference between Avery Bradley and former Arkansas PG/SG and 2009 2nd round draft pick Patrick Beverley? This is directed to anyone that remembers watching Beverley play.

FastAndFuriousParticipantBecause I clearly remember Beverly being a lock down defender and also being a very good guard, I really couldn’t tell you. Didn’t Beverly get drafted but is still oversea’s?

JNixonParticipantThe Heat stashed him overseas for this season, in hopes of developing him more.

butidonthavemoneyHe did get drafted. 42 overall by the Lakers.
Bradley is a lot younger than Beverley was and therefore has more potential. Beverley also shot worse percentages from the field and three.
I know I shouldn’t be answering this but could these two reasons have anything to do with it?

butidonthavemoneyAlso Bradley scores more points in less minutes, without having the ball in his hands. (I don’t know if Beverley had the ball in his hands a lot.)
Team success? More assists in less minutes?
I’m just throwing out ideas.

powerguard97Participantfor one Avery Bradley is bigger then Beverly….6’3 to 6’1
second Beverly left way too soon, Avery Bradley should look at Beverly and look at what not to do…he is in Europe now/ drafted by LA then picked up by the Heat in June if my wikipedia skills are correct…..his only highlight is throwing the ball off of a Florida Gators head in the SEC tournament…Avery Bradley is so much better, jus Avery is more athletic, and has a better upside then Beverly…….R u serious Iggy? Beverly went from 13 a night as a freshman to 12..his biggest games where against LSU and Auburn..if this was football he would be a first round pick…..Avery Bradley is already averaging 12 and if he stays another year his average will go up unlike Beverly who decreased…….Avery Bradley is a scorer once Barnes takes the shackles off of him……no comparison Bradley is better.0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/09/2010 - 7:37pm #254369

butidonthavemoneyI have no way of proving this, but I think Bradley will get better.

powerguard97ParticipantBeverly is more of a Smush Parker
Bradley right now is more like a Jeff Teague…if he would have went to UCLA which he should have..would have been more of a Russell Westbrook

JNixonParticipantBradley also shot 2 less 3’s than Beverley did in his freshman season, had 1 less assist, 1 less point, and attempted .7 more attempts from the field, while averaging .3 less steals, and shooting 35% lower at the free throw line on almost 2 less attempts from the line.
Beverley did literally everything better than Bradley except shoot a higher percentage as a Freshman/same stage of development.
