It was no secret that much of the 2026 high school talent resided on the West Coast. With a strong contingent of NBA scouts on hand, it served as an excellent showcase for future talent as they got their chance to show what they can do on March 31st in Phoenix, AZ, earning a 102–86 win over the East.
Jason Crowe 6’4, 170 PG – Missouri
22 MIN, 16 PTS, 5 AST, 2 REB, 1 STL, 0 BLK, 3-6 FG, 8-13 3PT, 0-0 FT
Crowe was named one of the Co-MVPs for the West and led the game in scoring with 16 points on 8-13 shooting. He showed his crafty handle and ability to use ball screens to get to his spots to make things happen. He didn’t have any luck shooting from the perimeter as he missed both 3PT attempts but had a few shots at the rim, as well as his floater in the midrange. He’s a scorer by nature and is California’s all-time leader in points but showed some playmaking for others with 5 assists to 3 turnovers.
Caleb Holt 6’5, 205 SG – Arizona
19 MIN, 6 PTS, 4 AST, 5 REB, 0 STL, 0 BLK, 1-3 FG, 4-8 3PT, 1-2 FT
Holt was the other Co-MVP of the game with 11 points on 4-8 FG. He turned it on in the second half where he scored most of his points. He’s strong and physical for most guards to match up with when he takes it to the rim. He shot it well from outside, going 2-5 from 3PT range, shooting he can shoot while contested or coming off a screen. In addition to his scoring, he rebounded well with 5 and was aggressive on the offensive glass with 3 offensive boards. He also finished with 4 assists to 1 turnover in the win.
Tyran Stokes 6’8, 230 SF – Undecided
21 MIN, 12 PTS, 3 AST, 9 REB, 1 STL, 2 BLK, 1-4 FG, 5-13 3PT, 2-3 FT
Widely regarded as the game’s most talented prospect, Stokes struggled to connect on his 3s, going 0-4 from distance, but was very good scoring around the rim to finish with 12 points on 5-13 shooting. He hit tough shots underneath the basket and finished through contact. He spent some plays initiating offense, recording 3 assists and 2 turnovers. He didn’t show too much explosive athleticism in this one but flashed it when he stole the ball to finish with a dunk and blocked 2 shots, one being an emphatic help-side rejection.
JJ Andrews 6’7, 220 SG – Arkansas
19 MIN, 12 PTS, 0 AST, 5 REB, 1 STL, 1 BLK, 4-9 FG, 1-3 3PT, 3-3 FT
Andrews played with aggression and confidence, never second guessing himself or hesitating with the ball. He looked to show his athleticism in the open floor to finish with a few dunks and utilized his strength in the mid-post during half-court situations to finish with 12 points (4-9 FG). He’s a capable shooter, knocking down 1 of his 3 3PT attempts and pulled down 5 rebounds in the win.
Christian Collins 6’9, 200 PF – USC
19 MIN, 9 PTS, 2 AST, 6 REB, 1 STL, 0 BLK, 4-9 FG, 1-4 3PT, 0-0 FT
Collins contributed 9 points while shooting 4-9 from the field. He was active, looking to penetrate with the ball and cut to the basket without it. He only recorded 2 assists but showed some passing ability, hitting a cutting Tyran Stokes to impress on one play. He also did well on the boards to grab 6 rebounds. He struggles shooting the ball where he went 1-4 from 3PT, lacking arc and consistency, needing further development as he prepares for the next levels.
Cameron Williams 6’11, 200 PF – Duke
20 MIN, 9 PTS, 1 AST, 3 REB, 1 STL, 0 BLK, 2-5 FG, 3-8 3PT, 2-2 FT
Williams had some good looks early but just missed the mark, ultimately scoring 9 points on 3-8 shooting. He showed his shooting stroke and pick & pop potential to make 1 of his 4 3PT attempts and knocked down both free throws. He demonstrated his athleticism on two uncontested dunks. Williams also grabbed 3 rebounds in the game and is one of the participants with the highest long-term ceiling.
Caleb Gaskins 6’9, 210 PF – Miami
17 MIN, 9 PTS, 2 AST, 1 REB, 0 STL, 0 BLK, 1-4 FG, 3-7 3PT, 2-2 FT
Gaskins (pictured) scored 9 points on 3-7 FG. Often times, there’s not too much to take away from all-star games, but Gaskins’ shot was noticeably smoother, taking out the wasted motion where he cocks it behind his head, that was causing him to shoot on the way down at times. He shot 1-3 from 3PT, hit a midrange after a jab step, and made both free throws. He also seemed to handle contact better and tightened up as a ball-handler, allowing him to make a nice pocket pass to Christian Collins for a dunk.
Quinn Costello 6’9, 195 C – Michigan
15 MIN, 7 PTS, 1 AST, 3 REB, 2 STL, 0 BLK, 2-3 FG, 3-5 3PT, 0-0 FT
Costello has good size and is known for his shooting ability. He hit a pick and pop 3PTer and a midrange step-back to close out the first half. He finished with 7 points on 3-5 shooting, with his other basket coming on an up and under layup. Costello also recorded 3 rebounds and 2 steals on the defensive end.
Arafan Diane 7’0, 290 C – Houston
15 MIN, 6 PTS, 1 AST, 5 REB, 0 STL, 0 BLK, 2-2 FG, 3-3 3PT, 0-0 FT
Diane kept it simple and didn’t play outside his game as a traditional big man. He scored 6 points and didn’t miss a shot, showing his touch within close on one play and his other two baskets came from securing offensive rebounds to go back up for two-handed jams. He pulled down 5 rebounds in total for the West.
Austin Goosby 6’5, 190 PG/SG – Texas
14 MIN, 6 PTS, 1 AST, 2 REB, 2 STL, 0 BLK, 0-0 FG, 3-4 3PT, 0-0 FT
Goosby didn’t stand out too much with 6 points on 3-4 shooting. He was most effective off the ball; catching an alley-oop, cutting for a dunk, and streaking ahead of the crowd for a layup. Goosby also finished with 2 rebounds, 1 assist, and 2 steals.
Brandon McCoy 6’5, 190 SG – Undecided
18 MIN, 5 PTS, 5 AST, 3 REB, 1 STL, 1 BLK, 1-4 FG, 2-8 3PT, 0-0 FT
McCoy scored 5 points while showing his athleticism in the open floor for a few dunks. He also showed some burst with the ball but struggled shooting (2-8 FG, 0-4 3PT, 1-2 FT). He did well running the point with 5 assists to 2 turnovers and was solid in other areas with 3 rebounds, a block, and a steal in his 18 minutes.
