Player of the Week

AJ Dybantsa, BYU

Despite BYU’s team struggles and a four-game losing streak, AJ Dybantsa strengthened his case near the top of the draft board. He averaged 32 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists for the week while shooting 64.7% from the field and 66.6% from three. His standout performance came in a seven-point road loss to Oklahoma State, where he posted 36 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists in 36 minutes, consistently looking like the best player on the floor. The situation becomes even more challenging for BYU following the season-ending ACL injury to Richie Saunders, a major offensive piece whose absence places significantly more pressure on Dybantsa to carry the scoring and playmaking load down the stretch. If anything, the increased responsibility should further showcase his ability to handle a true franchise-level role while continuing to produce at an elite level.

Freshman of the Week

Kingston Flemings, Houston

Kingston Flemings continued his push toward the top five, leading Houston to wins over UCF and No. 16 BYU. He averaged 18.5 points, 4 rebounds, and 5.5 assists on 43.3% shooting. There were extended stretches where he controlled the game, including moments with Dybantsa on the floor. Flemings has solidified his status as a lottery pick with strong leadership and playmaking impact.

Who’s Hot?

Flory Bidunga, Kansas

Flory Bidunga earned Conference Player of the Week honors after anchoring two key Jayhawks victories, including a three-point win over Texas Tech. He averaged 15.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 4.5 blocks while shooting an outstanding 87.5% from the field. His top performance came in a 12-point home win over Utah, finishing with 17 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 blocks on just eight shot attempts in 30 minutes, showcasing elite efficiency and rim protection.

Cameron Carr, Baylor

While Baylor has struggled at 13-10, Cameron Carr has strengthened his first-round case. He ranks among the nation’s top scorers at 19.6 points per game, shooting 52.1% from the field and 41.2% from three. His best outing last week came in a three-point loss to No. 7 Iowa State, where he posted 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists on efficient shooting while playing all 40 minutes.

Kansas Jayhawks

After an uneven start, Kansas has emerged as one of the hottest teams in the country with a seven-game winning streak that includes three victories over top-25 opponents. The run features home wins over Iowa State and BYU and a road victory at Texas Tech. With four upcoming matchups against top-five teams, Kansas has a chance to secure a No. 3 seed or better and looks like a legitimate March threat if fully healthy.

Who’s Not?

Keba Keita, BYU

Keba Keita’s recent struggles have been a factor in BYU’s losing streak. On the season he is averaging 6.8 points and 7.4 rebounds while shooting near 65%, but last week he managed just 4 points and 4 rebounds per game on 33.3% shooting. Persistent foul trouble has limited his minutes and overall impact.

Utah Utes

Utah continues to endure a difficult season, sitting at 9-14 overall and 1-9 in conference play, one of the worst marks in the league. The Utes are 1-9 in 2026 and have dropped five straight, including losses to Arizona State and Kansas last week.
