RickyRubio9ParticipantAiite so My Boy Aaron Brooks has been doing his thing all year. He’s averaging 19 PPG, 5 APG, About 3 RPG, but 3 TO’s. His shooting is down, but if you watch the Rockets you would know he has to Force alot of Shots because…well he is the only one who can create his Own Offense at Any Time and as our Point Guard he usually has the Ball when the Shot Clock is Winding Down.
His FG% is 43, 3-Pt % is 39, and Free Throw is 80%.
Anyways, I believe he is the Next Guy in line to replace an Injured All-Star (Brandon Roy). He’s leading the “Overachieving” Rockets to a Winning Record. 5 Games Over .500…Could be 4 or 6 by tonight depending on the Outcome of the Rockets-Sixers game.
Either way …WOW, He just made a CRAZY spin move to give him 30 Points tonight. I think he’s more deserving then Monta Ellis who is putting up Insane Numbers as well, but his team is Losing…That has got to count for something.
Well, my Question is, “Is Aaron Brooks the Replacement for B-Roy?”0 - Posted on: Sat, 02/06/2010 - 5:58pm #253580
Prospect21ParticipantSorry my man. I believe Monta Ellis has this one locked.
Also, Monta is the better player. That has to count for something.

nateoak10ParticipantJust as much as a joke of Morrow or Dudley not in the 3point shoot out. It’s gotta be Ellis

butidonthavemoneyIMO, Monta Ellis doesn’t deserve it. Aaron Brooks is playing out of his mind with a team everybody else was writing off before the season started. Monta Ellis has nothing but talent on his team but can’t help his teammates get any better.
Remember the commissioner is choosing Roy’s replacement, and Brooks has a waaaay better image than Ellis. It’s not all about stats.
That being said, Ellis will probably make it. I don’t want him to, I don’t think it’s fair, but I think he will make it.

Prospect21ParticipantWait a min….Golden State’s talent is overrated to Houston’s overachievers.
This is a player vs player thing and Monta is better

butidonthavemoneyThese are the teams’ point guards. The quarterbacks. These guys are the stars of their teams. Success starts with the point guard. Aaron Brooks is a better leader. He has lead his team to more wins. Ellis has more talent on his team. If he had half of Brooks’ leadership ability, the Warriors would be moderately successful, instead one of the worst teams in the NBA.
I think Brooks is better and I wouldn’t think twice about it.

Prospect21ParticipantI would take Ellis personally. I believe he earned it.
This man has played 6 games of 48 min or more. He’s put a team who has overrated, high potential players and players who are decent but better off the bench on his back.
Brooks has done well, no denying that. He’s my MIP but Monta Ellis has done things and is touching Allen Iverson is terms of playing. That team would be worst then the Nets if Ellis wasnt there

butidonthavemoneyGood points.
That’s probably as far as our argument can go. Haha, I guess we’ll just have to see who gets picked. Either way, a lot of fans are going to cry foul.

nateoak10ParticipantHardly. Remember Randolph Buike and Wright are done for the year. In our rotation we playind 2 D leaguers 23+ minutes a game. Enough said

aarondsonixfanParticipanti don’t think Monte is gonna get it just because of his team’s record. He deserves it more, yes, but I don’t think that he’s gonna get it.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI told Iggy Aaron Brooks would be an All-Star over Ellis about a week ago… It was all hypothetical at the time, since we knew Billups would be the pick. Now that Roy is out… It’s between Brooks and Ellis for sure now…. Can’t wait to see who makes it lol.
