OldSkoolBasketballParticipantI swear not many nba players uses the backboard anymore especially for layups. I’ve seen so many layups missed because they don’t use the backboard at all. Lebron and Wade is one of the few that uses it to their advantage.

DanEboyParticipantPippen and Duncan were/are the best at utilizing the bankshot. As far as layups, I agree with you 100%, drives me crazy sometimes.

tli232I don’t know about these NBA players, but I was always taught to use the backboard when laying it up in traffic because the bigs have less time to block the shot.
It”s MUCH harder to time a shot contest when you have to worry about the ball hitting the backboard first.
