Just wondered what people’s thoughts are on Dereck on here he is listed as 6″11 and 200lbs but on other sites he is listed at 7″1 and between 215 and 220lbs which would make him as big as Chet and 20 plus lbs heavier already and also heavier than consensus 2023 top pick Victor Wembanyama.

Dereck has been described as Tyson Chandler with a better offensive game. I know Tyson took a lot of years to really reach his peak but if Dereck’s downside was something like Tyson’s career then he’d be a high upside pick. But a note of caution Greg Oden’s downside was once said to be Mount Mutombo.

It will be interesting to get updated measurements for Dereck on here as his size and ability will be huge attractions on the mock draft boards and he could be an early guy to challenge Victor at the top of the draft.

I see Lively as a Wily Cauley Stein tupe player right now. Mobile, athletic, skinny big.

I like Lively. He could play in the NBA right now. He’s polished and aggressive. He can do a bit of everything offensively and has sneaky athleticism. Makes smart reads. Seems composed on the floor and has good fundamentals.

Theres gonna be alot of pro’s out of jobs with this upcoming class of draft eligibility and not just in the NBA. What a loaded class. Theres just so much talent.

What I like about Lively is his size and build and when you think he is 18 months plus from his NBA debut he will have more time to fill out and a full season at Duke’s elite programme.

There is always a turn over of players in the NBA but if draft classes are deep then I agree a lot of experienced fringe players could be out of the NBA over the next couple of years.
