knicksfreakParticipantThe Knicks dont currently own a first rounder but as things stand now they would have picks 39 and 40. They have pick 40 instead of 58 because Denver has the the right to swap picks with the Clippers. At these picks there are some players that could fill voids in the knicks roster:
Jarvis Varnado – Interior defensive presence that hasnt been seen in NY since the departure of Marcus Camby. Could fit well next to Lee if re-signed.
Lance Stephenson – do it all kind of player that could play well in his hometown
Greivis Vasquez – Gritty player who steps up in big games. Can run some point for the Knicks as well
Sherron Collins – great floor general with quicks and the ability to score
Charles Garcia – good prospect with the potential to be good
There is also the possibility that the Knicks could scoop up Boston’s 1st rounder by dealing Nate Robinson. Possibility that Xavier Henry or Willie Warren could fall to their pick.

knicksfan7ParticipantI don’t see Lance entering the NBA draft unless he is a surefire 1st rounder.
I like Varnado he will provide great shot blocking abilities and would compliment Lee well.
Vasquez, will provide size at the PG position, though I would rather have Collins he gives up size, but can do more.
As for the Knicks swapping with Boston that would be interesting, though they would have to trade Nate now, or do a sign and trade in order for that to happen.0 - Posted on: Tue, 02/02/2010 - 1:58pm #252710

MagikKnickParticipantThrough the tournament I see Sherron Collins rising his stock into a 1st rounder…
Same with Stephenson, those guys will be late 1st rounders…
But thats my “dream yet realistic” draft night 2010, as of the way things are looking right nowPersonally, I really like Jerome Dyson, he could be an option..especially with that Leandro Barbosa comparison, we know D’Antoni loves his phoenix players…
Charles Garcia is also a very interesting process, havent seem him play yet, but by the looks of it, hes a 3/4 with amazing versatility, draws comparisons to Lamar Odom, and because he goes to a less notable school, he could be flying under the radar, and become a real steal
Some another notable possible 2nd round picks: Aubrey Coleman, Manny Harris, Renardo Sindey?. Quincey Pondexter, Elias Harris…
Whoever it is, I just hope we get the 2nd round steals….the Gilbert Arenas, Michael Redd, Carlos Boozer, Monta Ellis, Manu Ginobli of 2010

knicksfan7ParticipantManny Harris and Elias Harris won’t enter the draft unless they have first round possibility. Manny Harris is much more possible. Elias is just a freshman so if he enters he is being foolish.

knicksfreakParticipantLance might consider entering the draft if the Knicks promise to take him. He’s a hometown guy who even considered going to St. Johns.
Coleman reminds me of Toney Douglas so I dont really want to go after him.
Yeah the Knicks would have to pull the trigger on a Nate to Boston trade before the deadline but I dont see why not. It doesnt look like we’re going to make the Playoffs and I’d rather give Douglas his minutes. We’re letting Nate go after this season anyways.
