So Ben Simmons has apparently cut just about all communications with the Philadelphia 76ers over the Summer & given a few places he would like to be traded. GSW appears to be top of the list & he doesn’t want to go to Portland or Toronto.

Do you think he gets traded & if so where? I think he gets moved, but given he has 4yrs left on his deal I’m not sure he really has a say in the matter.

He won’t be going anywhere if Philly doesn’t lower their demands of 4- 1st round picks plus an All Star calibur player in return. They are crazy.

Ben aint going nowhere. He doesn’t wanna work on his game and thats what the people want. If he can’t close games because of his shooting he needs to take a lesser role and therefore isn’t gonna command enough value to trade.

Wouldn’t it be crazy if he is quietly in the gym perfecting his shot and then goes to Golden State or something with a 35% 3 point shot and 75% free throws.

Honestly I don’t even think becoming a 3pt shooter matters at this point, but get to say 70%+ from the free throw will allow him to stay on the court late. Let us not forget that Antetokoumpo is a poor 3pt shooter, but he gets to the hoop at will like Simmons. The difference is Antetokoumpo is at 72% for his career from free throw line & Simmons is only 56%.

Simmons problem is he won’t even attempt to shoot because he is afraid to fail. Dude is too wrapped up in what people think that he can’t get past doing the things he does best in order to try and improve his game. Instead of realizing that this is what hurts his game and the team he prefers to blame others and cut ties and demand trades. Morey is smart. Jack up the asking price and if a team wants him they will counter. Don’t rule out a three team trade. The worst part about Ben Simmons is he thinks he is the best player in the league so doing anything that makes him look average will hurt his brand, image, ego. He operates like the best politicians…deny, deny, deny, assign blame elsewhere

His free throw shooting is all in his head at the moment. He’s overthinking things instead of just playing in the flow of the game. He’s now changing how he plays because he’s constantly thinking about not wanting to shoot FT’s. It’s sad, because he could be successful with a team built around his defence and playmaking. He needs a good sports psychologist. I don’t know if he’s seeing one at the moment, but he needs to in the worst way. Practising more, without addressing the underlying psychology is pretty pointless IMO.
