NorrinRaddParticipantEmoni Bates reclassified to the class of 2021. Wonder where he decides to play. Seems like that got lost in the shuffle with the Olympics, Summer League, The Basketball Tournament and free agent frenzy going on here. Where would we rank Bates in this class? Top 2 or 3… or even top 5 or 10? I think barring injury, top 7 might be his floor. I don’t think he develops into a better player than Chet though. Any thoughts?
P.S. Jalen Duren might reclassify next. I like him even better.

NorrinRaddParticipantI do too, although I’d love to see him go to Oregon.

OhCanada-ParticipantH’es almost certainly going to the G League Ignite. If he goes to college I wanna see him go to a school that will let him play his game and let him loose. I think he’s the best prospect in the draft despite watching that Bates vs. Holmgren game.

RUDEBOY-Participanthe’s not eligible to be drafted until 2023….so he has to remain in the g-league or college for 2 years..it might help him playing alongside pros.

BothTeamsPlayedHard-ParticipantJalen Duren as well, which since neither will be 19 in 2022 means they are looking for two year locations. Both have listed Nike schools as their possible destinations, and it would seem as though Oregon would be the most likely for Bates and Kentucky for Duren as they would probably get the most NIL money from Nike by going to those schools. I think given that both of these two would seemingly be NIL monsters with real income from Nike, they won’t go the G-League route. The gap between what Cunningham and Jalen Green got in shoe endorsement money is probably indicative of the limitations of going the G-League route.
