This one is REALLY TOUGH. With Lonzo, Hart, Bledsoe, Adams, possibly getting moved. (I think there is a 0% chance Zion is getting moved this season.). I am a believer in Naji Marshall being a rotation player for them. But guessing what this team is going to do with whos available is incredibly difficult. Pretty much every mock I’ve seen has them taking Giddey, Moody or Jalen Johnson who are gone. There’s one I’ve seen where they take Kispert which I think is a big fat reach. I do however think NAW/Kira is their future backcourt. But at the same time they need defense. (part of the reason I think Naji is going to play), but I think this pick for me is Keon Johnson but I’m really not confident in it. I could see a lot of different options here. I also really like Kira Lewis and I think they really like him too but they just need defense badly.

I like this pick. I think the Warriors might pick him at 7 tbh. Whenever a guy scores at will in HS/College he comes to the pro’s and does the same. Alot of people doubted Trey, Steph, Lilliard, Isaiah Thomas, Sexton. for the same reason they doubt Cam but I think whoever drafts him gets at least a third option right away.

I think they have to trade this pick. They have more young talent than they have rotation spots. They need to put a package together to improve one of those rotations.

But if they keep the pick I think they go Davion Mitchell and try to move Eric Bledsoe. Bledsoe played well last year but the chemistry between him and Lonzo kind of had Lonzo taking a back seat when the two were healthy. Pelicans are at there best when Lonzo is engaged and if Mitchell could replace Bledsoe it could allow Ball to be more assertive while Mitchell learns the ropes.

Alperen Sengun, although yeah I think they can maybe trade this pick too. They do have a nice young rotation already.

I almost said Kispert because I want to surround Zion with as many shooters as possible. But they really can’t afford another guy who might struggle on defense. so Keon Johnson is the pick.

I think they would want to take a more experienced player here as they want to push into the playoffs with Zion and Ingram. My choice would be Bouknight.

Although I’m not sure I like the value in the lottery, kispert fills a need and should be able to contribute immediately. He’d be my best guess here.

Gotta go with Mitchell, he can play both guard spots and is ready to contribute for a team desperate to make the playoffs.

Couple hours left. Kinda feel like I would pick Bouknight or Thomas but staying with Mitchell because Griffin said they are looking to add basketball iq, shooting and maturity and Mitchell checks all those boxes.

“We’ve got to address our basketball IQ, our toughness and our shooting,” Griffin said. “I think those three things really revealed themselves in the fact that while we were talented enough to build double digit leads, we also blew more double digit leads than any team in the league.”

That being said its been a while since picking a senior guard ahead of a younger prospect has worked out. Maybe since Kemba got picked ahead of Knight?

Times up looks like Bouknight for the win.
