at the end of the game, aaron brooks intentionally missed a ft and got his own rebound and was about to shoot the potential game tying shot, but the ref blew the whistle for him crossing over the line before the ball hit the rim. I watched that play on super slow mo on my tv and brooks did not cross the line until after the ball hit the rim. The ref got the call wrong and potentially cost the rockets a win. Big mistake. Just thouhgt i would share that.

I took another look at it. It was extremely close and i’m not sure if he did or didn’t. I believe the rule is you can have your foot in the air but you can’t touch the paint until the ball hits. Their is no way to tell if his foot hit. I couldn’t be a ref.

true, very hard. But i was pausing it on my television and trust me, the exact moment his foot hits the paint, the ball had already hit off the front of the rim Hard to get on a refs case for that call, but the way i see it is you don’t decide a game like that unless you are sure of the call. You don’t determine a game by guessing.

i was watching this when it happened and it was soooo close, but my opinion is, and i am a suns fan, is that the players should decide the game and that call was so close that i dont think the whistle should have been blown. Yea Phoenix may have been mad about a no call but the rockets were just as mad as the suns would have been. and in slow mo it does look like his foot was still in the air when the ball hits the rim. so again it should not have been called but the rockets started off real slow and cant blame this all on the ref(not saying they are but if they were to blame the ref, they had their chances).
