HitsterParticipantI was just browsing some stats and noticed that CP3 had recently become only the 6th player to past 10,000 career assists and he is only 55 behind the legendary Magic Johnson and within 250 of both Mark Jackson and Steve Nash so early next season should move into 3rd on the all time list behind Jasom Kidd and John Stockton.
CP3 is also only 350 odd points away from 20,000 career points so could soon be the first guy to have 20,000 points and 10,000 assists. LbBron is apprioaching 9,700 assists so will join 10,000 club next season and have 35,000 plus points and 10,000 assists.
LaMarcus Aldridge is only 61 points away from becoming the 47th member of the NBA 20,000 points club. CP3 I assume would be number 48. The next active player on the list is Dwight Howard on a shade under 19,000 points but at his current scoring rate is unlikely to reach 20k. So the guys in the eventual running to become number 49 and 50 is likely to be between Steph Curry, DeMar DeRozan and Damian Lillard over the next few years.

OhCanada-ParticipantIts interesting to note that despite being thought of as a far more prolific player Steph Curry only has 430 more regular season points than Demar Derozan 17765 to 17335. Thats a testament to Demar’s durability. I feel like Derozan’s been slighted his whole career so thought I’d just point that out.

HitsterParticipantJust looked up quickly DeRozan has played nearly 120 more games than Steph but Demar has been very durable. You don’t get to be a 4 time All Star, twice all NBA and averaging over 20ppg across a dozen seasons without being a fine player. I certainly have always rated him.
