I’m not talking about undrafted players etc.. but like lottery/mid first round talents, that are probably going to go in this area but you don’t think should be there?

    Mine are
Deni Avdija: I think the league is going to get to a point where if you can’t shoot its going to be hard to play you and the fact that his FT his low, doesn’t ease the feeling.
Isaac Okoro: I know he can defend, but I’m not sold on his shot, but if he can’t score, he could be someone like Stanley Johnson
Cole Anthony: Now, I think he could stick around for a while as a 6th man, but I don’t see it for him as a long term starter and especially near the top 5
Obi Toppin: I think he will be one of these college stars that will struggle to transition to the NBA. His defense isn’t great (Could be the load he had to carry) and if that’s true then I could see him sticking as player off the bench but I don’t think he is going to have that level of success scoring the ball in the NBA

I disagree on Avdija. Dude can shoot and is a willing shooter. Often he’s been the best player on his team when he was playing up age divisions. I don’t think he’s going to be an alpha on any team he’s on, but a complementary piece in a good team. He’s not gonna be Doncic. If you’re expecting that from him, you will be disappointed.
Definitely agree on Cole Anthony. Undersized gunner. If you’re drafting someone in the lottery, you’re gonna want a starting calibre player, not a potential bench spark plug.

The one guy I see anywhere from late lottery to late 1st round that I am not sold on is Jahmius Ramsey.

I agree Isaac Okoro doesn’t have a high upside I see him like a Justin Anderson type player role player off the bench.
I also agree Cole Anthony is best suited in a 6th man type role like Austin Rivers.
I disagree with you on Obi Toppin I think he is going to be a stud (All Star/All NBA player). I think he is going to thrive as a multi-level scorer that can pick and pop or roll. He reminds me a lot of Amare Stoudemire.

I’m not really sold on Toppin. Definitely wouldn’t take him top 5 and I think 10-20 should be more his range. A lot of his dominance in college was based on athleticism and he won’t have that same advantage against NBA defenders. At this stage, his defensive awareness is lacking and he doesn’t move his feet particularly well. I think he’s going to struggle in the pick and roll and defending smaller players in space. His offensive game also isn’t very advanced at this stage either. He can shoot it with range and can be effective as a roll man. However, he doesn’t have much of an off the bounce game and can’t really create offense. He doesn’t have much of a post game to exploit mismatches.
I think he has the ability to develop into a quality player in time, but I’m not sure he is currently as NBA ready as everyone seems to believe and I also don’t know how high his ceiling is compared to some of the other players in the draft. I think he might be a guy who could be better off on a veteran team with a lesser role, where expectations might not be as high right away.

I agree with Isaac Okoro except he will be in the league. Hes topo solid at defense, but unless he can shoot he wont be anything more than a role player

People are really overvaluing Deni because of Luka. To me, he’s not just that. Not yet anyways and he’s a guy that needs a right fit in order to succeed otherwise he’ll fail.

I value Deni to be a Mike Miller type player.

I see Deni more as a Nicolas Batum type. Maybe not a star, but a really solid all around 3

Dang it’s been a while. Some of the old guys might remember me…

Anyways, one guy that I’m not sold on at all is Nico Mannion which sucks because coming into college I was a huge fan of his game but he didn’t translate well at all. His shooting numbers were really bad for a PG and he wasn’t the playmaker I thought he could be for Arizona. And I know shooting wasn’t necessarily his strong suit coming into college but with below average athleticism and lack of explosive playmaking I just don’t see where he fits in the league aside from a backup PG which isn’t worth a lottery pick.

That’s the only guy that sticks out to me.

And it’s good to be back.

    Yo Jazz Fam, Let’s Go!.

Yeah, I haven’t really been sold on Nico Mannion either. Like Tre Jones more and probably equal to Dotson in my opinion with Mannion. Could be wrong but I’m thinking backup at best at this point.

Nico Mannion reminds me of Landry Shamet def would take him late 1st rather than late lottery.
Tre Jones reminds me of Jarrett Jack, I think he is actually kind of underrated if he goes in his mid 2nd to late 2nd range he is being projected.

I think Jones could be a top 20 pick. I think how Tyus turned out could help him out, but we will see.

And nbadraft.net updates Okoro’s profile. Gives him a comparison of Justin Anderson. That is…….inspiring…….

It just proves my point with him.

Also ZackAttack, I think they got rid of them.

This is shaping up to be one of the worst drafts ever. I could make a case for selecting Cj Ellebe in the top five. I can’t wait for Bill Simmons to do a redraftables on this one
