This site has the lottery wrong. They are ranking pure athleticism and pure hype over skills and talent. I agree on only a few picks. Here is how the lottery should go. http://www.nbadraft.net/nba_mock_drafts/29512/edit

    Reasons
    1. Wall (enough said)
    2. Johnson (talent, and the fact that he is carrying Syracuse right now. This guy is like Melo, and they both played for the same school. (demarr Johnson, please, melo is much better comparison)
    3. Turner (now you may think too high, but have you seen him in Ohio St. this kid is a stud. He’s better then Favors and Montiejunas, there only up there because of pure hype)
    4. Favors
    5. Montiejunas
6 Aminu (here is another talent, like turner, but does not score too much, this pick needs some help though, I am not too sure about Aminu)
    7 Davis
    8 Henry
9 Patterson (i’m not sure who is better, Patterson, or Cousins)
    10 Warren
    11 Ebanks
    12 Aldrich
13 Cousins (Patterson might belong here, this is only because how he has performed so far)
14 Monroe (cant rebound in the pros, needs to apply himself more)

first you said this site is wrong to have hype and potential so high and then you keep favors in the top 5.

I like some points of yours, like I think Turner will be the 2nd or 3rd guy taken off the board, i dont understand how some mocks have him in the later lottery

It’s easy to predict Evan Turner going that high considering how well his team has been since him coming back from the Injury…but Cole Aldrich still up there?! Favors in there & Bradley isn’t? & Willie Warren hasn’t played nearly as good as last year at Oklahoma.

Johnson will never be close to a Melo type because he will never have the kind of muscular body to initiate and absorb a lot of contact in the NBA. To be an elite scorer in the league, a guy has to get to the line a ton. I don’t see Johnson doing that.

I think Turner is the #2 in this draft, so the fact that you think he is too high at #3 is a bit odd to me.

My doubts about Aminu are whether he will work out at the 3. He handles the ball incredibly loosely and his shot is funky. I don’t see a great value in taking him in the top six.

Patterson is probably starting to get too high for my liking. He is going to be a solid pro. He’ll have a career, but I don’t think taking a 6’7″ power forward with a decent but not great face up game is going to be of much help to a team picking in the top ten.

Aldrich is going well before #12. He is going to be a long-time starter at the center spot in the league.

If Monroe isn’t applying himself, then why is he 2nd in points, 1st in boards, 2nd in assists, 1st in steals, and 2nd in blocked shots on a top 25 team?

Monroe reminds me of Jeff Green. Monroe is better on the defensive end but their games are similar. I think his rebounding numbers are up due to the loss of Summers and most importantly the reason why he is leading in all cats is there is no one else to take that away from him. I think he is very talented but I worry about him at the next level since he isn’t your typical big man entering the NBA nor is he good enough with the ball in his hands or has enough perimeter shooting to move to the 3. He is a project at the next level IMO.

Evan Turner Stock position could fall because of his back. Back injuries worry people.

If nobody else of substance is around Monroe as you say, then doesn’t that speak to Monroe’s abilities the fact that they are 13-3 and in the top 25 in every poll computer or human?

Also, what is a typical big man entering the NBA if Monroe isn’t one?

Wesley Johnson isn’t a Melo type of player. Melo is a Power Forward with the quickness of a much smaller player. Wesley Johnson is never going to have the strength like melo and he will NEVER be the scorer Melo is. I like Wesley Johnson but I’m not real high on him as a pro. He can be solid but I don’t think he is ever going to be even a legit number 2 option. And Greg Monroe and jeff Green have 2 things in common, they both went to GTown and they both black. But for real they both are do it all type of players but Jeff Green is a combo sf/pf but Greg Monroe is a PF and PF only.

Wes Johnson’s game is more like the Matrix. Only thing is, he has more handles and his shooting form is not ugly.

Turner is the last player you want to doubt. His whole career, starting from highschool, he’s been overlooked by scouts because of other Chicago players a la Rose and McCamey. Turner has Chicago DNA, the last person you want to doubt is him.

some idiot sent me a vulgar message because i said that Evan Turner stock could drop because of his back injury. Who is uncle buckshot. Are you Turner’s lover or his homie or his cuz. Dude i think Evan Turner is a great player but back injuries are not things that totally vanish and some nba people have already expressed their concerns. Why you think Dejuan Blair dropped. I was stating a fact not saying dude is a terrible player. Some immature people on here need to get a life and talk to people how you would in person. I am not a violent person but I am 5’8″ about 220 lbs and pretty solid. I doubt you would pop off like that in my face over someone you dont even personally know.

i lost a lot of points for that comment. You young b ball groupies need to grow a pair and find a girlfriend or if you are a girl find a man and chill with the stupidness.

    1. Evan Turner is handling that injury about as well as he possibly could. I doubt it hurts his draft stock.

    2. Threatening dudes on this site won’t get you anywhere.

    3. There are NO girls here. NBA Draft is latin for “Sausage Fest”.
