-Kemba Walker is on the 2011 mock draft as the 27th pick! that is a joke!…What tells you he won’t be a great pro PG?

-Lance Stephenson and Renardo Sidney are listed a 2010 second rounders!…Either this site thinks Stephenson will drop because teams are scared of him or they haven’t watched him lately…rarely do is see he act a fool this year, or complain..and he is producing, props because he is cleaning up his act…Sidney is a to 10 talent yet he is projected as a second rounder?

-Perry Jones is ranked as the 2011 3rd pick. He is a number 1 pick in mostly any draft..

-Greg Monroe is not top 10? How so? Because he can’t jump like Favors can?

-Whoever passes on Motiejunas because he is a Euro bigman will regret it. I hope he comes over this draft..

-Why is Paul George projected as a 2011 prospect all of a sudden?

-Wesley Johnson is a top 5 pick for sure.

Kemba Walker should enter this years draft, hes not 100% ready, but with such a weak PG year, he can himself going ALOT higher then anyone couldv’e predicted

I was skeptical of Stephenson at first, but hes growing on me…hes definetly a 1st rounder

I think Sidney is slipping because hes yet to play, but I agree, hes also a 1st round talent

I actually dont like when this site puts HS players as very picks (Barnes, Jones, Knight) because you have no idea on how they’ll pan out in college, 2 years ago….BJ Mullens was #1 in the 2009 draft, and Jrue Holiday was in the top 10

LOL…I have trust issues with european big men, hahaaa

Renardo Sidney hasn’t even played a game dude. Have you watched him play…ever? He’s like consistently gotten worse every year since like the 10th grade haha. He’s overweight and has a horrible attitude and father. Potential yea sure, but is he worth a top ten pick. HELL NO. 2nd rounder is where he belongs, at best. Until he proves it at least.

And apparently Perry Jones is not all he’s hyped but to be. I doubt you’ve seen enough of Perry Jones to KNOW he’s a number 1 pick. Just cause he’s compared to McGrady is that your basis for that comment? It’s not like top 3 is shabby either..

I don’t think Walker is great in the halfcourt. He isn’t a true point, his shot isn’t that good, and he lacks size. Obviously, he is a burner but I don’t think that is enough for him to leave early and get taken high.

Stephenson is a real talent. He hasn’t been great of late, but I tend to believe he go between 15-25. The fact that he is playing solid defense helps him. His ability to create off the dribble are unquestionable. Some team will bet on his ability to get his shot to come around to round out his game.

Sidney is tough to place because he has never played above the HS/AAU ranks. He isn’t practicing with Mississippi State at the moment, and you don’t know what kind of shape he is in. It is hard for me to believe that it would make sense to predict someone would take him in the 1st.

Daft can also mean simple, silly or gentle. For the record.

I wouldn’t touch Sidney in the first round. Any team that does is taking a big risk. If Cousins is in the first round, I think teams should also take a look at Stephenson.

-Kemba Walker should declare if he wants to be a late or top 20 pick. He’s a little rough around the edges, but he’d be the 2nd PG off the board if he declared after this year barring any surprises.

-Stephenson will be a late lotto pick probably and Sidney will probably be a late 1st rounder who puts up big stats and makes everyone regret passing him up. Just watch.

Perry Jones. Johnathan Bender or Kevin Durant? I say he’s closer to Durant. Could be the 1st pick.

Everyone knows how I feel about Monroe (Pau Gasol 2.0)

Motiejunas is very talented to me, and every blue moon I fall in love with a Euro. But when I do, they are usually good and AT LEAST come over to the U.S. and attempt to play NBA ball.

Paul George will be a Stephen Jackson type player, without the old baggage. I think he’s a lotto talent.

-I agree about Johnson. Even though he does need to improve his handle

Why- yeah I probably haven’t seen “ENOUGH” but I have seen all I need to see…And to me, he is a can’t miss prospect with unbelieveable mismatch potential. And don’t assume I just like him because of the T-Mac comparison, what would make you think that…And anyways, I think they are very different

Bothteamsplayedhard- I agreed with just about everything u said.

Iggy9- I see your comparisons, but I think George is much much more athletic than Jackson ever was…

-Kemba Walker is on the 2011 mock draft as the 27th pick! that is a joke!…What tells you he won’t be a great pro PG?
He isn’t a good defender and isn’t a good shooter.

Lance Stephenson should be a first rounder but Sidney hasn’t played a game so you don’t have anything to base that on

-Perry Jones is ranked as the 2011 3rd pick. He is a number 1 pick in mostly any draft.
Perry Jones is stuggling to score in HIGH SCHOOL they only thing that is keeping him this high is potential.

-Greg Monroe is not top 10? How so? Because he can’t jump like Favors can?
Greg Monroe isn’t a top 10 pick because he isn’t athletic and isn’t a good rebounder. Favors shouldn’t be that high either.

-Whoever passes on Motiejunas because he is a Euro bigman will regret it. I hope he comes over this draft.
He has the most bust potential in this draft, no strength or low post game, i’m sure most small forward could guard him.

-Why is Paul George projected as a 2011 prospect all of a sudden?
Because he isn’t that good, is playing in a weak conference, can shoot and not much else.

-Wesley Johnson is a top 5 pick for sure.
    Duh.

Kemba Walker is actually an outstanding defender…It’s probably what he’s best at.

Paul George is a good scorer period. He’s shown hat he’s more than just a shooter. Gotta watch him play man.

    -Lance Stephenson
slow footed getting to the rim, must rely on pullup jumper

    Renardo Sidney

-Perry Jones is ranked as the 2011 3rd pick. He is a number 1 pick in mostly any draft..

-Greg Monroe is not top 10? How so?
defensively reminds me of Troy Murphy
-Motiejunas: he is legit but he needs a big strong athletic center or he WILL struggle
Motie could start right now 4 Bobcats
good centers with SIZE & SMARTS are few and far in between 2 complement him

I would hesitate to question Monroe’s athleticism. He beats guys off the dribble. He spins off people in the post. He covers ground and closes out defensively rather well. He runs flat-footed, so he doesn’t look overly athletic when going up and down the court. Neither did Dominique Wilkins or Greg Oden. A lot of people were really surprised by how athletic Oden tested out to be prior to the draft because of the perception based off how he looked. I think it is safe to say, however, Monroe isn’t an explosive leaper, but that is not the sole gauge of athleticism. I think if you were to compare his athleticism to that of Tim Duncan, Dirk Nowitzki, Brook Lopez, Chris Kaman, Marc and Pau Gasol, LaMarcus Aldridge, Jason Thompson, Luis Scola, Ersan Ilyasova, and Jeff Green he wouldn’t be viewed negatively.

Motiejunas isn’t a huge bust candidate. It would be one thing if he never played against grown men and just made his name on the junior circuit, but he is playing on a major European team playing against former NBA players and others who are making six and seven digit salaries. He obviously isn’t setting the Eurocup or Italian league on fire, but he is playing reasonably well off the bench. I would never compare him to Dirk based off anything he has done and would not even consider him a lock to go in the top ten, but I could not call him a potential bust when there is evidence of his ability to play against older, more experienced competition and having some success at such a young age. If nothing else, he can be a stretch big, and there is value in having a big man who can help space the floor.

i have watched fresno play multiple times and all i’ve seen is paul george shooting, he will pump fake and take one dribble in but he still is just shooting.
Kemba tries hard on defence he just isn’t that good, don’t confuse hustle with good D.

    Kemba needs another season.

    Lance will be a top 20 pick…Sindey? I dunno….

    Perry Jones is overrated.

I agree. Monroe should be top 10.

Donatas could be Darko…Could be Dirk….don’t act like you seen him play 100 times

    Paul George is overrated

Wesley could fall due to age…alot of teams draft on potential my man

That’s good….I’m glad someone saw him play

From what I saw- He needs some more muscle. He is not big enough to bang with the likes of NBA guys. Just like Andrea Bargnani, Donatas will be a defensive liability in the NBA as well.

Also, He won’t come into the NBA and be a stud. It took Dirk 8 years to truly develop a strong post game. Bargnani has been in the NBA for 3 years now? He isin’t gonna bang. I question if Donatas will either

Thank you for the Motiejunas stats! Very helpful!

If anyone knows where I could watch some of his full-length games that would be very-much appreciated.

Edit: @mikenike – That’s fine, but I was trying to say that you used the word in the right context. “Daft notes” could mean “Simple Notes” which makes sense. So you were right. Whether you meant to be or not.

“Perhaps the place where Motiejunas is struggling the most right now is on the glass, having grabbed just four defensive rebounds in 82 minutes of action through five Italian league games. It’s not hard to come away with the feeling at times that Motiejunas lacks quite a bit of toughness watching him being boxed out with ease while casually going after loose balls with one hand, and this will be a significant concern for NBA decision makers moving forward if he can’t find a way to pick up his play here. He looks very indifferent setting screens and stepping in to take charges, avoiding contact and not really being in a huge rush to sacrifice his body for the sake of the team.”
