Looks like Trae has started doing what he did at Oklaholma in the NBA. This guy is ridiculous. Serious candidate for MVP if the Hawks start winning games.

Im a huge hawks fan, and besides the fact that Trae is redicuously good and an amazing passer, Hunter has looked great so far and I know alot of people did not like the pick. Also while we are playing the magic, Fultz has made 2 3’s and a couple mid range. Hes also missed a couple pretty badly but made enough to keep you honest. And Reddish while not scoring alot and having low fg% has played great defense, alot of deflections, rebounds, shown ability to handle the ball. Once he starts making shots….look out. Also, Jabari with Trae is gonna be a force off the bench.

Yeah I was watching a bit of tonights game just because I feel like Trae’s gonna go off for an insane Devin Booker type night soon and Hunter is one of those "does not look like a rookie" types. Seems like a very discipline player, kinda like how OG Anunoby was as a rookie.

They really put a Lot of planning into this. They hired Sixers asst Lloyd Pearce who is a defensive specialist & has experience w/ a Rebuild from the ground up

They targeted Trae Young fully believing it would take him a few years to adjust to the NBA but choosing him b/c they wanted to stretch the Defense from 30 ft to the rim which would allow them all kinds of space for cutting & screens

They’ve got serious athleticism & 3pt shooting w/ their Wings & Forwards & Young has rewarded Atl by advancing at warp speed. Even Young believed his slight frame would force him to adjust for a couple years but he’s just tearing the League apart

I’d like to see them get a rim protector though, Collins is not good enuf on Def to be a smal ball 5, I think they’ll have to keep him at the PF spot even though he’s not a long range threat like a lot of stetch 4’s

And b/c Young is a Def liability at the point of attack of they don’t get their hands on a Rim protector they’ll struggle on Def

But it’s only year 2 of the Rebuild & the Hawks along w/ Chicago, Dallas & Sacramento are one of the up & coming young teams in the League & they are fun AF to watch

Trae has had a great start to the season and could put up some huge numbers in games this year epecially as his shooting is looking good. MVP might be a bit optimistic but he could be a live MIP contender and with the Hawks system will have the chance to fill his stats columns.

What I like about him is that he is also a very good playmaker already and this will only improve as he gains experience and gets the right blend around him. He has the ability to have some huge scoring games but he isn’t the sort of player who will need to play "Heroball" and try and take every shot.

The Hawks are in rebuild and already have a good young core together. They improved from 24 to 29 wins last season and if the young team gels could perhaps get close to 0.500 although 35 wins would be a more realistic target.

Tough loss. Thats just 76ers experience showing there, knowing how to close games out. You think trae missed that free throw on purpose?

Smallball Center is great here and there but Collins really should not be playing C against Embiid. Jojo really did him dirty all game.
