valentinei never thought of this till i started watching some old college and nba games of kj( my boy loves this guy)..and after watching then looking at his career stats i noticed john wall really reminds me of this guy. i remeber him in the nba but kinda forgot and i see most peopel have also..he was explosive strong athletic and a hell of a passer. i mean in one four year period in the nba he was averaging 21pts and 11 ast..other then is rookie year and his last 2 years he averaged no less then 16 a game and 8 ast…career average of 17 and 9. this guy needs to get more respect then he has . if he was playing now hed be a all star with the numbers he was putting up. with damn near 2 steals a game

j1232eParticipantI think wall can jump better than kevin, I can’t really remember KJ as an explosive jumper. Floor leadership is comparible. KJ was a solid pg on a good suns team.

SupParticipantThis may be the worst comparison I have ever heard. John Wall is a phenom because he is a 6’4″ shooting guard with point guard smarts thus allowing him to play point. He however is not being celebrated because of some similarities you may feel he shares with the 6’1″ non-first ballot hall of famer known as kj. Wall does not equal kj.

QHaynes20I agree…This is a great comparison

JoeWolf1I think he reminds me of Steve Francis at his best, super quick high rising point guard who can distribute well, but also put up points. Francis was 6’3” and wasn’t a particularly great shooter, but very effective in his prime. He really fell off after a few years so I feel like people forgot how good he really was, but I think Wall reminds me a lot of Steve Francis.

quincey hodgeshow you figure sup?..wall is a point guard not a shooting guard..kj was explosive as well as strong and a good passer..only diifference was his height. and at this point wall isnt a first ballot hall of famer either so what does that have to do with anything . wall would be lucky to put up kj numbers(not saying he wont but that would be great to be as good as kj was)

cp33ParticipantI actually agree with the KJ comparison and I have watched both players alot. It may not be the best comparison out there but they do play alike in some ways. Andfor those people who say KJ didn’t have hops, Just ask Hakeem!

WritingNBA.blogspot.comParticipantI like Wall, but he’s not explosive as Kevon Johnson. His wingspan compensates for his lack-of strength. Overall, I think his length and speed will bring the best out of players in the NBA, like Rondo, Rose, and Paul. He has the chance to sneak behind Deron Williams, as the best Point Guard, next year. Yes, he’s that talented. I compare him to the UCLA version of Baron Davis.
John Wall = Rajon Rondo with scoring ability.

quincey hodgesi think wall has bounce but i agree its not like out of this world hops. i really dont think its as good as roses though

gregoden08ParticipantIs just as athletic as Rose.

JNixonParticipantHe’s probably just as good as Rose athletically, but Rose is more agile than Wall IMO….Rose has come of the best change of direction and stop and go moves I’ve ever seen in basketball. Wall probably is faster in a straight line, but everything else Rose is on par or better than him at athletically.
