QHaynes20Cole Aldrich is my 3rd pick. Warren is 6th and he can increase his stock with a good Big 12 season
I think he can increase his stock. Motejuans can increase his stock as well with more time.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantMy bad. I just hit the wrong key because I was talking about my third semester and just hit 3. I most defiantly mean 6. That is too high for him.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantIMO, no way Willie goes that high. Number 6 is way way to high for a guy who is undersized for the SG and doesnt play the PG. I think Montejenus or something goes a little higher. Is this based on team need or just player rank? I think that if the 76ers have the #3 pick they would take Monteblahblah. I think they are looking to send Brand to someone who tries for a big time FA but doesnt get one. Maybe the Pistons or someone. Speights is more of a C IMO and Monteblahblah would fit with them.

gatorheelsParticipantVery solid job man. I don’t see Aminu going that high. He has the size, length, athleticism,..all that but he just doesn’t shoot good at all. This limits his value severely as a small forward in the nba. I also don’t see Warren going that high. Undersized scoring combo guards just aren’t that valuable to me. I don’t see a team taking him in the top 10. Varnardo probably isn’t a 1st rounder, Sure his defense is good but he will never be a factor on offense. He may also get pushed around in the NBA by the more physical bigger post players. One last player Tyler Smith. I see him as a 2nd round pick also. He should’ve gone pro after his sophomore year. He just doesn’t have any upside. He isn’t a great shooter. I think he will also have trouble guarding small forwards in the pros. Other than those 4 players I like what you have projected here.

QHaynes20Sin- Yea, maybe but with not alot of PG’s rated this high- Warren may do a Tyreke Evans and be a PG in wokouts.
Gator- Yea the last 10 picks were a tad tough. Do you like the comparisons?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 12/11/2009 - 4:45pm #237757

The8thDeadlySinParticipantThats true but I think where everyone took a PG last year, he wont be in demand. Think about it, who in the league could use a PG?? The Knicks?? Everyone else has a solid starter and a decent backup. He may slip to a team like SA just because they could use some youth but IDK man.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 12/11/2009 - 4:47pm #237758
QHaynes20Indiana has T.J. Ford, Travis Diener and Earl Watson
They can use a PG
0 - Posted on: Fri, 12/11/2009 - 4:49pm #237760

The8thDeadlySinParticipantAgreed but a PG like Warren isnt any better than Ford or Watson. He is a chucker and not a passer.
Was this mock on player rank or team need?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 12/11/2009 - 4:49pm #237759

gatorheelsParticipantMost of the comparisons are on the money. Some of them I have never seen or heard before but I liked…pretty creative. The only one I really don’t like is Tyler Smith- Rudy Gay. Gay is a much better scorer, better length, better athlete, better shooter, etc.. I haven’t seen the guy from UTEP play yet so I don’t know about him.

QHaynes20team need.
Gator- who would you compare Smith with?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 12/11/2009 - 4:52pm #237762
Michael.S.ParticipantKemba Walker is going to be the 2nd Pg taken off the board. If he declares.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 12/11/2009 - 4:53pm #237763
QHaynes20I see him more of a 2011 prospect my man.
He is not ready
0 - Posted on: Fri, 12/11/2009 - 4:59pm #237764

gatorheelsParticipantQHaynes- That is a tough one to find a real good comparison for….I would compare him to Marquis Daniels. Of course Smith probably can’t play PG like Daniels does sometimes.

QHaynes20I got you. When I do my next update I’ll take that into consideration
0 - Posted on: Fri, 12/11/2009 - 5:04pm #237766
Michael.S.ParticipantI respect your opinion, and I can see your point.
Now to the mock. I hate comparisons, but yours are the best “comparisons” I have seen thus far. One thing I don’t like is that you have to many low-potential players tooo high. IMO. I think Warren, Aldrich, and Aminu are too too high. Wall is a given, and I see you bought into the hype. Why not?….Donatas might drop, because he is a Euro, but that would be silly, he’s easily a top 3 talent. My last thing is that I think Paul George is too low, but yeah, your explaination is spot on.
I will post mine tomorrow.

gatorheelsParticipantMarquies Daniels senior year at Auburn stats:
34 minutes 18 pts 6 rebs 3 ast 2 to 2 steals 51% FG 67% FT
Tyler Smith stats so far in his senior year:
27 minutes 13 pts 5 rebs 4 ast 1 to 1 steal 60% FG 75% FT
Both of them are very poor 3 point shooters.
Those stats are pretty similar.
I think Tyler Smith will be a solid role player coming off the bench in the NBA similar to what Daniels is.

0 - Posted on: Fri, 12/11/2009 - 5:28pm #237771
McWinningParticipantcrap as a Dexter fan i really hope hes not like Curry overrall he has better post moves and is a great post defender unlike Curry he reminds me kind of Kendrick Perking not quite as good a re bounder though and still has to improve his conditioning a bit like it my only problem is Cole Aldrich is too high hes a good rebounder and a great defender but hes not great offensively i think hes more like Joel Pryzbilla kindve high i would put him a few spots lower maybe 6th or 7th.
