Dhamp2ParticipantYes David Lee is 35; Shaq is 41; J.R. Smith 42; Pau Gasol 11 and Bynum, 20.
Dhamp2…the greatest basketball mind in the world. Next to Hubie Brown anyway.
1. Carmelo will lead the NBA in scoring.
2. Dwight Howard is overated.
3. Wesley Johnson is a top 15 pick and the best transfer in the country.
4. There’s no way Steve Nash should have two MVP, while Kobe has one.
5. The Lakers will 3hree-peat.
6. Eric Devendorf will be drafted (sorry about that one).
7. R.I.P. Earl Manigualt.
8. Brandon Jennings will win ROY
9. Matt Barnes is vastly underated
10. I don’t always dring beer, but when I do, I drink Dos Equis. Stay Thirsty my friends.0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/03/2009 - 11:07am #235372
the microwaveParticipantBrand 46??? this career based on current players, or as of today?? if as of today no need to argue your case brand shouldnt be there… If career based , shoot possibly higher..

apb540ParticipantShould be switched wit D-Will and not feelin Horford behind Shaq, Lee, and Bynum.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/03/2009 - 11:12am #235374

JNixonParticipantY’all are seriously sleeping on Iguodala…especially with David Lee and the current Baron Davis ahead of him.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/03/2009 - 11:16am #235377

Lemons4LifeParticipantBaron Davis is getting a little better, but Iguodala is much better right now. I still think Wade’s 2 and LBj’s 3 though….

JoeWolf1I’d put Andrew Bogut at #50 over Charlie V.

Dhamp2Participant@ Microwave: Yes this is as of today! Brand had great career numbers.
@ apb 540: Horford doesn’t even command a double team, lol! Yes he’s behind Shaq. And Bynum and Lee are having good years.
@ Igudola: He should averaging so much more. He’s had a few seasons to REALLY produce and not just above average numbers. As a matter of fact, harldy anyone things Igudoloa is better that Baron Davis. He’s not Davis at all!!!

the microwaveParticipantwhat has brand done as of today to warrant top 50 consideration? Career wise no doubt.. Your reply to me was two sided.. YOu said “yes this is as of today”, then followed it with “hes had great career #’s”.. YOu cant argue both sides… Ill assume this is career based.. If so why is allen iverson not on the list?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/03/2009 - 11:24am #235383

JNixonParticipantHe’s not better than Davis when Davis was really playing basketball, but currently, Andre Iguodala is the better player.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/03/2009 - 11:29am #235385
Dhamp2Participant@: Microwave, I didn’t argue both points! The list is as of today. He’s a terrific player having a bad year.
@Iguodala: He needs to produce more. He’s really not a number one option. Heck, Gilbert Arenas even said as much. Wait until Iverson comes to town, his scoring will drop even more.Dhamp2…the greatest basketball mind in the world. Next to Hubie Brown anyway.

the microwaveParticipantterrific player having a bad year? I know hes a 20 / 10 career guy… When is last time he was productive?
this years stats:
PPG 12.2 RPG 6.60 APG 0.9 1.2 BPG / 45 % shooting for a PF… He hasnt even been a double digit rebounder since 05-06…Last night he didnt even start.. hes definitely on the decline.. Ya know i wish you were right, cause if he was the Brand of old, i probably would not have went on a rant about Philly in my other post.. His only TRULY good game was against the bobcats, and that gm Tyson chandler got hurt, he was going up against Diaw, and under sized big…..0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/03/2009 - 11:49am #235389

RickyRubio9ParticipantThe Freak…Is this only for this year? ‘Cause if not, Yao Ming should definitely be there
0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/03/2009 - 11:55am #235392

JNixonParticipantIt’s not all about scoring 1st off, and if his scoring drops, it’ll be by tenths of a point, Iverson knows that Iguodala is going to get shots and he’ll play accordingly. I guess we’ll see…
0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/03/2009 - 12:03pm #235393
tonyl33ParticipantIverson doesn’t care about Iguodala. He doesn’t even care about practice. He’s going to take the ball and do his damn thing and careless about the team. My opinion is, they bring AI back just so he can retire as a sixer.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/03/2009 - 12:35pm #235397
youngmagParticipantI think Devin Harris is better than Rondo, and yes Iggy should be higher people underrated him to much,as for Brandon Roy I think he is top ten he should replace Durant, and as for Granger he should be top 20. I still believe Nash is to high he plays no defense and only thrives in a run and gun offense.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/03/2009 - 12:41pm #235399

PureshooterParticipantI think the best way to judge the players is current perceived value. The past shouldn’t really have any bearing, unless there is a high probability that the player will regain their form. Just my two cents.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/03/2009 - 12:44pm #235400

d-grizzlyParticipantgood list, i agree with almost everything but
baron davis > rondo? hell no.
j.r smith > rudy gay or o.j mayo? hell no.
good list otherwise.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/03/2009 - 12:46pm #235401

d-grizzlyParticipanthow the hell does tyreke evans go unoticed….he’s the reason why the kings are 9-8.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/03/2009 - 1:50pm #235413

JoeWolf1Na D-Grizzly, thats all Brockman, jk, but I think he is still a little un polished for top 50, I’d put him in the top 65 though.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/03/2009 - 2:00pm #235417

rickyD510Participantj.r smiths not better then kevin martin… you guys say all kevin martin does is score and thats it so what does j.r do.. score and whos the better scorer. kevin can drive to the rack, gots a good midrange, pretty good at three and all j.r does is shoot 3’s… and wheres monta if jr’s on this list?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/03/2009 - 2:42pm #235431
Michael.S.ParticipantRudy Gay is better than 1/2 the guys on that list. Also Id still put Rose a bit higher and add Mac and A.I.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 12/03/2009 - 2:52pm #235433

IndianaBasketballParticipantHow are you ranking guys? Based on what criteria? Is it based on skill level, career stats, this season’s stats or just overall/complete game? Depending on the criteria, you can rank these players all over the place.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 12/04/2009 - 12:56pm #235601
Dhamp2ParticipantIf J.R. Smith played for Sacramento, he would average more and easier than Martin.

BasketBalAllanParticipantIf J.R. Played in Sacramento he would not be averaging more than Martin, I am so tired of hearing people say that their favorite overrated player would average 9999 points and 50 assists and rebounds just because they play for Sacramento. You have to remember that they have only been a bad team for the past three seasons at max, this year they are over .500, what possible reason could you have this season for making such an idiotic statement, besides not watching the Kings play any games at all.
P.S. signing all of your posts with the statement of being the (2nd) best basketball mind in the world just makes you seem pompous and arrogant.
