Not really because he wont start and he is not a PG.

I say add another PG for the long haul

If Lou was gone for the whole season then yeah, but I don’t think that would be a good move in the development of Lou or Holiday.

And for those that say no because AI isn’t a PG – He wasn’t a PG back when he took them to a Championship – so that’s not a good reason. Besides Lou Williams isn’t a true PG his self.

But after looking over all the NBA teams I think AI’s best fit would be the Hornets. – They’re the only team that doesn’t really have a player locked at the SG position – and they have been hurting at that position for a long time.

Hell yea they should, I would love to see Iverson end his career in Philly…………To this day it’s still soo weird to see Iverson in any uni thats not the 76ers……..

I agree they should. Iverson can still play and the sixers are a team trying to win now. No question they should sign him. He would start and play where he started his career.

I dunno. I think we rather see Iverson end his career in Philly rather then Philadelphia trying to fill a need.

Even if the Sixers added Iverson, I would start Holiday because you gotta see what the rookie can do. He has the size and defensive ability to be good. I rather see the long piece fit get the time rather then the vet.

No no no, Holiday is not even close to being ready to start………….starting him would hurt your team badly……….If you didn’t get the memo, they wanna win Now

True haynes, but Holiday is still 19 I think. He has plenty of time to develope. Iverson can play and help them compete now. The Sixers are trying to compete with the best in the east while they pay superstar money to Brand and Iggy. So they want to win. Can’t blame them if they stick with Holiday who I think will be very good, but Iverson will help thme more and it would have the return to home feel good story. Plus Philly is an uptempo team where everyone get’s their own shots and they don’t need a natural pg, so AI would fit there better then with a lot of teams.

Great Idea.  Iverson needs to end his career in Philly.  If he could lead them to the playoffs that would be good for him.  He deserves it.

No one would be more exited to see that happen than me haha. I would go to atleast 10 more sixers games this year than I am planning on going to. Plus we don’t have a very bright future cuz we don’t a superstar and that makes it tough to win without one of those.

I agree, an its deeper than him ending his career where it started, Philly is truly a good fit for him

Holiday is definitely not ready, like gatorheels said, hes only 19, his time will come.

Iverson plays very similar to Lou Williams(or should I say Lou Will plays similar to Iverson?), but with Iverson it’ll be like they havent missed a beat.

Plus when Lou Will comes back, They could move Iverson to the 2
and put Iggy at the 3, where i think he plays better anyway

OR They could Keep it the same, just bring LouWill of the bench

And its not like he’ll be signing with any team just to play, he’ll be playing for a legit playoff team, that could maybe compete for something, besides a lottery pick…

It’s easy for us fans to say Philly should move Iggy to the 3 or Lou to the bench or let Holiday develope later, but is that what the 76ers would want?

I mean if it was that simple – He wouldn’t have a problem finding a team.

The problem is no team wants to alter their line-up to fit A.I. in.

The Grizzlies would have just benched Mike Conley. – The Pistons would have signed him and benched Stuckey.

Or – The Knicks would have just simply benched Duhon.

A.I. needs to go to a team that doesn’t already have a player locked at PG or SG. – Which make the Hornets a good fit for they have been trying to find a SG for years.

would be good for both sides. iverson gets to be back where he should be, and the 76ers get to sellout homegames alot more, iverson would be comfortable too.

I would be for that….I think Iverson can still contribute alot to a team scoring. Iverson would fill a need for our starting PG spot since Jrue Holiday isn’t going to be the answer for the 2 months Lou is out. Iverson is essentially another Lou, which could be both good and bad. Good that he’s a great scorer and passing lane defender, bad that he has bad shot selection, shooting percentages, and poor on ball D. But nonetheless, I agree that Philly should take him, what is their to lose? We need some scoring punch on the team.

What are we waiting for? Let’s make a campaign for Allen Iverson to come to his senses and think about going to the Sixers!

Ya know, this could work. Iggy can do alot of ball handeling so that Iverson doesnt have to be a typical PG. Also, why wouldnt he start?? Are you saying that Jrue is gonna start over AI?? I know the kid has been playing okay but when you have a guy that the Princeton offense was built for, well you understand where Im going. Really though?? A sketchy rookie over Iverson?

I felt the 76’ers made a mistake by trading him in the 1st place…Iverson never really wanted to leave Philly..But management was tired of him and felt he was becoming a distraction..Since he left ..Philly has been a team stuck in neutral..Not bad enuff to get a top pick to build around and not good enuff to be considered a playoff threat…When the 76’ers went to the finals in 2001..Iverson led a cast of misfits..Iverson scored over 2200 points that year. His closest teammate had a total of 800 points..Some say he was a ballhog..But Philly never was able to bring in that sidekick to ease the scoring load…With this Philly cast he should step right in..He’ll never be the dominant player he was a few years ago..But he should help them sell tickets and make other teams respect them ….

The Sixers HAVE nothing to lose on this deal anyway… They get to have their legendary player back on a Sixers uniform… AI will end his career in Philly… And the Sixers aren’t really title contenders in the first place thus, it wouldn’t hurt them that much to sign back one of their heroes… Iverson can still play and I just love it if he could wear back those Sixers jersey… He has always had the love fror the fans in Philadelphia and it would be a sweet, sweet Cinderella story should Allen comeback to the city that started his career…

I hope he plays a complementary role…we need him, but if he’s going to hold Iguodala back the way he did for Iguodala’s 1st two seasons in the NBA, then I for one won’t be happy.

    hold iguodala back?
    he’s as good as he’s going to get….at best he’s a 3rd option on a good team…but i love his all around game…………

actually it wouldnt be a good idea because once williams comes back then iverson would go back to the bench and we already know hes not cool with that unless hes playing with a title contender
