thetruthParticipantbutler, arenas and jamison trio has been together for four years now, and has not manage to win a playoff series. arenas will be 28 next year and is still consider their franchise player, and for some strange reason they love butler . and then you have jamison whos the veteran and the oldest out of the trio. he really brings alot to the table. far as scoring , rebouding. but all three get hurt all the time, and even when healthy they coludnt be a one man team(bron bron) in the playoffs for three straight.

QHaynes20I dunno. How would you start that?

JNixonParticipantI agree 1000% it’s time….I thought to myself this summer that if they couldn’t win now, they’ll never win. They have too much talent on their team to not have ever really challenged for the Eastern Conference Championshhip. Since they can’t win thi year, it’s time to rebuild this team…

thetruthParticipantsay the wizars should trade jamison this season and try to bring in a big man or so.

esperanzafleet69Participantjamison has played like 2 games this season… in which one they beat the cavs, … i think you guys are forgetting that… theyre just having a slow start due to jamison just getting back….

nateoak10Participantwhat if the wiz traded butler for maggette and gsw’s 1st round pick?
0 - Posted on: Sat, 11/21/2009 - 8:42pm #232055

thetruthParticipantthis team is a mess. yes they are talented. but they all overstacked at the 2 and 1, too many soft big man, injuries, cant even win a playoff series when healthy. mine as well go ahead and start over. no way will they be able to compete with the magic, celtics and cavs. even the raptors and hawks, and maybe the heat can give wizards a run for their money.

QHaynes20that would be a awful trade for GS. Why add a decent player and a 1st round pick for Butler?

NYK2010ParticipantJamison should go he doesn’t play much defense.
I doubt anyone is willing to take on Arenas contract.
Butler would probably be easiet to move of the 3 since he has 2 years and 20 million left. They have a bunch of expirings, decision to trade that draft pick to Minnesota doesn’t look very wise either.
Maggette’s has 4 yrs on his contract and he’s basically a selfish player who doesn’t play a lot of defense even the Clippers knew better. Unless the Warriors want to cut payroll they won’t make the trade becaz that draft pick is too valuable being in the lottery and Nelson doesn’t care about defense.

doubledribblerParticipantThe Wizards are just built horribly. The team is all offense and no defense and they have been that way for years. They have no physical presence anywhere. If Jamison is your most physical player you are in trouble. Even though a lot of people love Arenas I would never consider him a great player. He doesn’t make anyone on that team any better as the point guard. I think their big 3 would be fine, just not together on the same team. I still don’t understand how Arenas got such a huge deal and how Jamison got as much money as he did for as long as he did.
Maggette for Butler? Why? Maggette doesn’t do anything any better than him other than getting to the free throw line and is really a one dimensional player.

MagikKnickParticipantTrade Jamison
Trade Butler
Trade ArenasThey should definitely be able to get some real value in return for those 3…maybe a couple of 1st rounders
Start playing the young guys, Nick Young & JaVale McGee are apart of the Wizards future, make them develop as much as they can now
The teams not going anywhere, so just start over

STEVEDOT2ParticipantThe wiz might be lottery headed the only reason they signed jamison is cause gilbert fussed about it now they both have huge contracts when jamison is past his prime in on the down side of his career. if they go back to the lottery this year i a say rebuild the bobcats need scoring {Gilbert} and any team a take a player who causes a constant mismatch in jamison plus caron say no more about him the steady of the 3 only improves rarley misses many games because of injurys DID YOU SEE HIM IN THE CAVS WIZ SERIS 2 YEARS AGO?? GAME CHANGER

quincey hodgesim not sure why people think nick young is the answer because hes not..hes not good enough to build around. not even close. id give this until till the end of next year since antwan is just coming back and you need to give a new roster 2 years before giving up. and what big man is out there that’s better then haywood do you’ll think they are gonna get?.good big men dont just grow on trees theses days and yeah there are some better then him but what team is willing to let them go?

Lemons4LifeParticipantI might keep him, but if not here are some trade IDEAS:
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=yjvbfkb
This one I think is crazy, but I think a draft pick for Washington from GS would make it fairer.
And the rest I was too lazy to show so sorry for that, but whatever.

RICO 1981ParticipantYup, time to rebuild again. Out of the three I would take tough juice aka bulter. At least he can defend and score the other two are just scorers. I would try and trade gilbert areanas for some draft picks, because the next couple of drafts should have some real players. As for jamison just let him retire, or trade him to a team with a shot he has been a class act in D.C.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantThe Cavs need to thorow everything they can at Jamison. The one thing that Lebron needs, and has never had, is a PF that can shoot and score. IMO, they could even give up Mo Williams for him because good PGs are a dime a dozen and all they really need to do is shoot and pass the ball to fit in with Lebron. If you have 2 great scorers, Jamison and James, just put shooters around them and leave Shaq in the middle and look out for this team. They have West, maybe, Parker, Verajo, Big Z, Hickson, Gibson, Greene, Moon, or Williams that they could thrown at him.

sheltwon3ParticipantTrade Jamison for Elton Brand
0 - Posted on: Sun, 11/22/2009 - 5:05pm #232302
NYK2010ParticipantI’m sure the Wiz are itching to give away Jamison for scrubs who aren’t even expiring contracts get real.
Why would they want more guards the team has more than enough, Varajeo 50 mill for a guy who can’t even make a jump shot and he’s no Ben Wallace on D. Hickson has some value but the rest of the guys have bad contracts besides Big Z. Gibson ha wouldn’t touch him with a 10 foot pole he’s made a career off shooting in that Game 6 against the Pistons 4 years. Cavs don’t have pieces to get deals done thats why they whiffed on SJax too. What team is stupid enough to take on Arenas 5 year contract at what 95 mill or so left for a 28 year old who’s had how many knee injuries. Asking another team to throw in draft picks and take on that contract is strange. Besides Don Nelson I don’t see anyone dumb enough to do that since Isiah is out of the league. You’d have to take back a long term contract back like Baron Davis’s most likely.
They could probably get the most for Butler he’s still young and has the best contract.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantI wasnt saying they could get him, Im saying they should try. Im sure your Knicks would take Arenas next year. Especially after they dont get anyone that they are shooting for. They will end up trading DLee for and someone for Arenas and they will sign TMac and a scorer for the post. They will panic and throw tons of money at someone they dont even want. BTW, Jamison is eaisly tradable to the Cavs. You dont think the Wiz would bite on Mo Williams and Hickson?? They alrealy love guards. They have them 10 deep.
